I'm not a fan of removing skill and reaction based counters to strong skills. I liked that meteor could be reflected/purified/cloaked.

On the other hand, I do wonder if this was done for performance reasons and not solely wrobel having a brain fart. The effects for a reflected meteor are much different and more intense than the initial meteor, and meteor has always been lag heavy as far as ultimates go. I wonder if eliminating the change for it to be recalc'd via a reflect is part of the performance increase, same for reducing the amount of reflects down from 2 to 1 for regular projectiles.

there's a fair chance that's true. Reflected meteors almost always act kinda funky

Honestly, Its about time this was changed. I have mentioned this numerous times over the last year to ZOS and its about time they changed it.

Meteor isn't a projectile, its a ground based AOE with a knockback it never should have been reflectable in the first place.

Look at Lighting Flood and Look at Meteor

    Both Skills:

Call a bolt from the sky
Bolt hits ground and causes AOE damage
Only difference is Meteor has a knockback.

its about time they fixed this. Lighting Flood isn't reflectable and neither should Metaor be and im glad its not now.

There are other changes in this pathc however that i do think hurts small man PVP and thats a shame :(

Pretty sure a rock going through the sky is a projectile.

Your comparing a bolt of lightning dps skill to an ult with high initial hit.

Oh and meteor actually has a initial hit, so it's obvious it's a projectile.

A bolt is a mass of energy usually in a line, a meteor is a rock..... it's a projectile.

The skill will no longer be reflected. Templar and NB will not longer be able to purge it with cloak/purify. All magic builds will be speced into elemental damage in cp.

    Finally... The fear is back!

Based on physics, meteor shouldn't be blockable either (you're dead based on the velocity and gravitational force.).
But its a fantasy game so the changes to reflect plus server performance are carrying this change (paraphrasing wrobel on ESO Live alot of the skill changes were implemented after looking at streams, pve content, number data, working with Wheeler on performance.)

It's likely such burst dmg, while exploitable by some, means you will also be very squishy. Heal and mitigation will be viable this patch.

Can't wait for block/CC immunity to start working properly in lag, then "learn to block" will actually be achievable and do something. :D

Seriously ZOS were is the change to make Meteor reflectable again ?

Don't even say "ultimate powerful bla bla" cause if that's the case why is overload still refelcatable or dragons leap and death stroke dodgeable ? There ultimates yet players can just take 1 step to left or right and avoid them were are there divine buffs ?

Also trolls don't even say that its a meteor and it enters earth sky at bla bla bla speed and going bla bla bla cause for the last time this is a fantasy game were real life physics do not applies in any way.

Except most players meteors are going easily deal 10-15 burst damage, and some players will probable hit near 20k vs vamps with the fire morph.

Not to mention that with that morph you can pretty much go straight into a dawn breaker.
