I have a Sorc and I accidentally killed a NPC without being discovered, and after I killed the NPC some skills flashed on my screen that I got from that encounter. I don't remember what they were because it kinda surprised me. But when I looked through my character interface I couldn't find them. I later accidentally killed some more NPC's and was discovered, then cleared the bounty through the sanctuary.

Did I actually learn those skills, or would I have to be Nightblade or have something else to actually benefit from them? Where can I find a list of all my character's "skills" that aren't associated with the "main" skill area? If I have them, are they lost like "Disreputable" is lost when you pay a bounty? Do they negatively influence your reputation or increase your bounty if you ever get caught?

Basically I'm interested in what benefit/use those new skills are, if any.
