This thread here is for people to post their painful RNG stories regarding item drops. Maybe something will be done to curb the bad RNG at some point if there are enough voices, but for now, let out your frustrations.

I'll start.

The only 2 purple v16 Briarheart jewelry pieces I have obtained were both ARCANE.

I have 4x the number of Maelstrom Weapons as Jewelry from vMA.

Obligatory I have deconned over 9000 Well-Fitted items.

I am a stamblade, always have been... I wear medium armour...

I have run SO... a number of times... between drops and weekly rewards I have (and have deconstructed) enough heavy and light pieces to outfit a literal army of tanks and mages but the only piece of Vicious Ophidian I have ever had drop came from being at the top of the PvP charts!

Share my pain?.........Instead I will share the sheer lunacy of the RNG tables we are subjected to.

I've been doing the 6 WB's +1 quest daily since Wrothgar opened (well maybe -1 week as I was still learning things) and while I have complete sets of all 3, most of the gear is mismatched V15 crap.

I'm specifically trying to acquire Briarheart and have, thus far found 2....T W O......good pieces (Both V16, wit the traits I want on them). You want to know what sucks tough? I also have DUPLICATES of those same two! It's driving me insane with the sheer amount of crappy V15 BH rings I have gotten (I got 3 yesterday) or V16 item with well-fitted.

Why is getting anything so damn difficult you might ask?........

For the WB Wrothgar sets we have to overcome the following flowchart

Is it a set piece? ---> It it a set you want (3 sets)? ---> Is it the right piece? ---> Does it have the right trait? ---> And after all that, Is it a V16?

That's an insane number of RNG "rolls" to get what you want.

Now I'm not opposed to RNG because that keeps the carrot on the end of the stick so to speak. What I would like however is a bit of mitigation. maybe there is a merchant, that, for a price will merge 5 V15 of a certain set piece into a V16. Or will change a trait or will, for a price, retool that item into another set piece (basically take that perfect helm and turn it into shoulders). Something that would allow us to not be completely subjected to RNG.

*33 darkshade runs untill I got my "well fitted" helm. Run it since although not keeping track now still no other helm.
*48 banished cells - nothing I want a daeodrith
*More wrothgar dailys than I care to remember both world boss and other for briar heart - it has to be in the 100s I have 1 chest, 1 helm and 12 belts ......12 I say.
*Crypt of hearts was not after the hat, but run it lots for fiends the hat I have is well fitted lol - I am the only one with the hat though so much worse for others.
*Over the weekend we did at least 100 dolmens in cyrodill we saw 1 boss lol.
*Many gold key ands it despite it being random - I had 5 infused lord wardens medium shoulders in a stack? Tons of other lord wardens and nerinieth - And only one molag Kenya going back to my vet 12 days from months and months ago.
Those are some I remember.

I was lucky with this one and got one after about 10 or so Dolmens. I am also convinced RNGesus only smiles upon me once in a blue moon. So my bad RNG has continued throughout the whole game whether its from never getting anything or finally getting something of value after it has already dropped in price to the fact that it isnt even worth selling

I'm chest hunting in Wrothgar (with the treasure hunter CP passive) to get five VR16 good trait pieces from the Briarheart set .

I started with one good piece out of five (from the WB dailies). I got three other good pieces in the first 200 chests or so.

I have now opened 1000+ chests and I'm still looking for that elusive VR16 good trait chest piece.

I deconstructed so many stuff that I've made 500K+ gold so far in the process. I'm nearing 1M gold right now, with both bag & bank slots maxed.

Yeah, RNG hates me but at least it's making me rich. So it's not a complete waste of time, but still...

Will I reach 2M gold before I get my damned chest piece :'(

Did a dungeon with someone who got an Ice Staff of Willpower (Charged).

Later did vWGT with someone who got the Kena mask. The celebration was cut short when he read "Well-fitted" at the bottom

Oh and a group of people who did vCOA over and over again and the one person who wanted the mask didn't get it.

I've been farming for Briarheart set like crazy.

I've got one (1) piece vr16, all other vr15.

So ok, I'll wear vr 15, then. But I would really like to get some rings, instead of handful of vr15 collars...

All this with treasure hunter passive. RNG hates me, but that's ok, feeling is mutual.

Edit: actually I don't want rng-system completely go away, just it to be little more gentle. Expecially towards me, and myself. But I sure am glad to share the pain here.

Been doing Wrothgar dailies to get purple jewellery. After an approximate 200 dailies on 3 different chars, I am proud owner of one (1) healthy trinimac ring and one (1) arcane briarheart necklace. I have now bought 3 robust agility and 6 arcane willpower jewellery pieces, since no matter how often I open vaults in IC, I have yet to find a single jewellery piece other than endurance, irrespective of traits.

No *** are given any longer. Gonna buy my shite with AP from now on. Btw, maelstrom weapons pvp rewards?

I found 12 stacks of voidstone ore super cheap on a guild store, brought them to refine and collect them alloys.

Refined them all and not a single alloy dropped. Do not buy foreign ore

Briarheart has been very frustrating getting the purple jewelry. Been doing the dailies everyday on 4 v16 characters. I have 1 purple v16 piece to show. Have only had 2 purple pieces of jewelry for all the new sets. They need to pull the v15 items from the loot tables on BOP items. I'm about to give up it makes the game not fun spending so much time farming stuff with little return.

Looks like theyre getting more invested in RNG instead of doing away with it tho. Im waiting for them to inroduce stackable enchants that allow you to boost your gear multiple times with a fail chance increasing with each tier of improvements. If you failed all previous enchants get would wiped.
