Perhaps I missed these in the patch notes. It took me a while to realize that the blue amorphous glow that swirled around my character after killing something meant that I had gained experience from killing that mob. Given how important it is to use visual cues to track status effects, I have found this effect to be distracting and unnecessary. Players can assume that killing any mob will grant some exp, and since the blue particle effect does not communicate any numbers, it is not helpful in communicating how much exp you gained (what would really matter if you want to see if you're gaining exp). This is on top of the new built-in loot indicator also communicating that you "picked up" experience, and exactly how much. This makes the new blue particle effect even less meaningful, and actually a nuisance when trying to rely on visual cues. EDIT: Nevermind! It's the Magicka return effect of Debilitate causing the blue aura.
Another thing I noticed was that many mobs that I kill turn blue and evaporate (with the accompanying sound) like Daedra would when using Expert Hunter. I can't seem to find a pattern to it (though I havent' systematically tried to pinpoint it), but it is happening with all manner of non-Daedra mobs. What's up with this?
