I now hate Glass motifs

That's bad luck with RNG; however, I may have you beat - I do all pledges every day since I started (obviously missed a few Vet pledges at the beginning). I have yet to receive an Engine Guardian shoulder, but I did get a Molag Kena shoulder! Oh wait, did I see A Molag Kena shoulder? I meant multiple Molag Kena shoulders - SIXTEEN of them and not a single Engine Guardian shoulder. Meanwhile all the groups I run Darkshade with are trying desperately to get the Engine Guardian helm! Hahah, I have one! Wait, did I say ONE? I meant SIX Engine Guardian Helms.

Don't stop doing the Writs as you'll still get something out of it. I feel for you on the Glass stuff though. Keep at it!

As a magicka sorcerer, so far I've got three glass chapters from doing the writs: shields, maces and bows.........
I think it's a sign that I should start playing another char that would be stamina based...

Sell/Trade your duplicates?
I've always found someone to trade the duplicates with or I've sold them and bought motifs I need.
After all, this is a "social" game and trading was implemented for/with reason.

Good thing I did it the smart way.

Didn't bother with learning/grinding motifs that I didn't randomly find. I just asked one of the billion others who did to make it for me.

Problem solved.

I found an Imperial Motif in a delve in Wrothgar, went to pick it up and the game crashed,went back and it was gone

So i sort of feel your pain. I too have got to top lvl in metal, wood,cloth and provisioning but finding enchanting so much more challenging..

The layers of RNG needed to get all Glass motifs is beyond ridiculous. I do writs, but for nirncrux and other high value tempers. The odd glass fragments will find there way into the guild store. I have several motifs for sell, below average when listed, that have not sold. Since I can't sell the chapters reliably, it's not worth risking 10k on the glue. I decided early the odds of getting all Glass chapters was next to impossible for a single account. I have a complete Glass set, most of which I bought in guild kiosks. No way I would EVER drop real money on these.......reward zos for inflicting us with this RNG madness? No thanks.

Since this is just a motif, deciding not to worry about getting them, like the OP, is pretty reasonable. For those who do want them, I suggest you start hitting the guild kiosks. I suspect interest in making chapters out of fragments will further decrease after TG release, with a lot of new motifs, and glass chapters will be rare and expensive. Hmmm, perhaps there is a golden opportunity there after all.........

Same here. Never had EG. Tons of other shoulders.

I will say though that I have been lucky with everything else (especially Xivkyn & Merc which I have complete). I do vendor the doubles and buy motif portions when they can be found on the GS. Ancient Orc is also almost done and every other motif I have found (did get two imperials in one day of thieving!!).

Glass motifs are just such a PITA considering the mechanics behind acquiring them and you could imagine the riot if all of the other motifs were distributed this way.
