Crafting Thieves Guild motifs

While the Patch notes listed many new motifs that will come with TG, I don't recall seeing ANY information about the associated style stones. Crafters know you can't make a style without the racial stone. Has anyone found new stones to go with the new motifs? The next Patch item mentioned after motifs was the Mimic stone. I hate to think there are no in-game racial style stones. I haven't ventured into new TG on PTS yet, but hoping someone who has can provide some insight.

Also where will the new motifs drop/be found? Wrothgar dailies? TG Treasure chests? Are the old motifs going to be found as well in the usual places?

3 motifs come from chests in Cyrodil. These are the faction style motifs.
1 comes from the delve daily in Wrothgar
1 comes from the WB daily in Wrothgar
1 comes from finishing Cadwell's Silver
1 (believe they said the outlaw motif) comes from the thieves guild (might be the 2 WB's in new dlc)

Apparently, I would like confirmation on this, the faction motifs in Cyrodil can only be found by each corresponding faction. Meaning Daggerfall will only find the Daggerfall motif pages and so on. So if they are BoP, like many other items in the game, crafters would have to find them on another character in a different alliance. Otherwise you can simply trade for them or buy them in chat or guild traders if they are not bound.

I'm interested on this too. I'd guess alliance motifs will share the racial stones, but where they come from? And what about the Orsinium ones?

Think I got a Outlaw chapter from one of the Hew's Bane world bosses. The style stone for Outlaw is Rogue's Soot and can be found from nodes in Hew's Bane.

Would also like to know where to get the style material for Soulshriven. Can't get to Coldharbour with a Template to check there.

The three alliance motif crafting materials can be bought in Imperial city for 1000 Tel Var stones each. You can only buy the item for your factions crafting style, for example, my DC character can only buy the lion fangs.

This is kind of unfortunate for crafters like me who are a bit OCD about getting all the styles, but only being able to buy your own factions motif makes sense.

It should be mentioned that this is the final style material. You don't need to collect 10 of those and refine them like Cassiterite, Dwemer Scraps or Malachite.
They also don't seem to be too rare.

Anyone have any more information about the new motifs and style stones on the pts?

Ways to find them, drop rates, farming suggestions etc..

I'm an avid crafter and can't wait to hunt down the new motifs!

You can also purchase them from the Siege Merchant. I didn't check the price and if it was AP or gold.

Ashlee, the Alliance motifs drop from chests in Cyrodiil or in IC. I took my Templar to Cyrodiil to a spot where I knew I could find several chests and within 16 chests she had found 4 motif pages (Pact). I think the Intermediate ones dropped them more, but at least one of them came from a simple chest.

So once Thieves Guild Launches there will be 13 Motif Books and 168 Motif Pages to learn in total! (plus one motif book is given on character creation and one will be awarded upon completion of cadwell's silver quest line)

Potash and auric tusk can be obtained on the pts by deconstructing the gear you get from the daily wrothgar quest reward boxes (Trinimacs valor and pariah sets for example).

I have a question : Is the box we are now in the dailies in Wrothgar will contain new motifs after the patch. So, if I keep them and open them after the patch, can I have some motifs in them ?

It's unclear, from what I gather. This question is discussed in another thread. On the PTS, no motifs have come from Wrothgar daily reward bags. However, they have different code from bags on Live. If you have the inventory space, you are not losing anything by holding them, and if they do yield motifs, you win.

I have compared Thieves Guild style with Outlaw style and they are different, it seems we will be getting the Thieves Guild Crafting style in the Dark Brotherhood DLC.

Did you use a daily reward bag that you obtained before on live or was this a reward bag obtained on PTS?
