Do you think there should be passive awards for Completing Master Angler as added incentive

With 183 Fish to catch for the Master Angler Achievement do you think there should be added incentive for people to complete this achievement and reward those who have spent tireless hours looking for that last fish? It seems aside from Perfect Roe the difficulty to reward ratio for Fishing is way less than anything else in the game.

I realise that the poll options are fairly loaded if you want to add something without voting as an alternative it will not let me add an additional option to the poll or correct my Typo :/

It should be Like Laurels. The more fish you have caught the more chance of prefect roe dropping.

It would also be nice to either be able to craft or find fishing poles with atributes that are useful in different ways (e.g. 2 fish 1 cast or 10%extra chance to catch high level Bait, or fish eat bait 10% faster etc)

Absolutely, but I think it should be a combination of the two. It would make the incentive to fish much greater.

Personally I don't think I'm going to try for this achievement, however these passive rewards are a good idea for the amount of effort put in by those who do complete it :)

No, because it was the players decision to fish...

Nope. The title is one of the rarest in the whole game, I'm happy with just that. The dye is "meh", especially since colours rarely look like the color picker once you apply them to armour. I already got about 100 perfect roe just from doing the achievement, that's 400 XP pots.

BTW, your options are so loaded... Why not a simple yes/no and players can elaborate in comments?

The title and the dye seem to be reward enough. It's just one of those achievements that is way more work than it's worth and I kind of like it that way. You don't see too many people with the title because it's very time consuming and many won't bother with it.

However, since you mentioned gunny sacks, I think they should be brought in line with the newer heavy sacks. There was a time that they were both basically the same loot. Heavy sacks got an upgrade and gunny sacks did not. I'd be fine if all gunny sacks were upgraded to be similar to heavy sacks.

I'd say yes but that opens a can of worms that would start complaints about other achievements, such as master crafter for example not giving bonus temper chances and the such.

I think there should be a unique pet reward for it. There's so few pets that can be earned in the game (only 1 actually, from Bangkorai's Public Dungeon if I'm not mistaken) and so many that can only be bought for cash. I feel like someone who's fished for 150 hours or more deserves more of a special reward than just a title and a dye (especially the players who got Master Angler before Perfect Roe was in the game!).

Maybe a "fishing buddy" dog that can actually sniff out rare trophy fish? (for your other characters)
It could start barking at a fishing hole that has a rare trophy fish, whenever you get close enough to it.

Or one that guards you from random trash mobs while you're busy fishing?

Perfect Roe - maybe I got lucky but I caught 2 of them before I even was level 10. I do as well catch etheric groupers (blue) on a regular basis (those 110g per fish are welcome), but I have a specific fish hole and a specific bait, which raises the chance for that fish immensely. My guess is that fish type, location, specific fish hole and bait make the chance to catch it. With these etheric groupers (given they are just blue and easy to catch) I can catch about 1-2 with less than 10 bait units (I dont want to spoil the fun of discovery for you, so I don't say which bait), in just one specific fish hole on Stros M'Kai. Unfortunately I do not remember where I caught the Perfect Roe - because at that time I did not really know how rare it is.

I am for the sacks to give better loot - this is then not different from spending time looking for treasure chests.

I tried to edit the options straight after but it doesn't give me the option. I'm a grammar *** and spelling Wet Gunny Sack wrong due to auto correct made me die a little inside.

I didn't expect the Poll to receive so much feedback to be honest I wish I could add another option for Yes - Other but once you set a Poll there's no turning back it seems.

I guess a lot do fishing in ESO - it is like a puzzle, where you have to find the right combination of bait, fish type, location and fish hole to have the best chance to catch a certain fish. So this is something for everyone who likes puzzles.

It's incentive enough that you gain mastery over your inner drive to do something. Perhaps a title change to 'Master of Boredom' or 'The Boreless Conqueror' would be better.

The gunny sacks are usually trash and not even worth selling.

Better loot from the sacks would be an improvement to boring fishing, this coming from a Master Angler, whatever that means.
