Dro-m'Athra Senche mount preview

I don't actually know should I post it here, or on PTS, or even in the Crown Store section, so sorry if I post it wrong
This is new "Maw of Lorkhaj"-inspired mount availible on PTS now. I don't know the price and possible release day for live servers, though. And I doubt that @ZOS_GinaBruno will tell us  So, long story short:

And this is much better preview from Elloa:

It has a special summoning animation *o*
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Its a bit flashy for my liking, but I like dirty, worn and low key kinda look. In skyrim I wore the iron heavy armor through the whole game because I loved the dirty grit look.

I hate the "phase in and out existence" thing with mounts (and nodes, and chests, and npcs...). I really like this.

Pretty cool this Dro-m'Athra theme along with the skin. Sounds like an equivalent to Mind-Shriven version (horse, skin, daedrat) which I bought immediately.

If this senche along with the upcoming Dro-m'Athra skin aren't limited and won't be going away from the Crown store, I will be sure to get them later on.

It is limited on PTS, but not sure if it will be limited on live server. Dro-m'Athra skin is accessible by completing the veteran version of new trial Maw of Lorkhaj.

Besides, the dro-m'Athra are in the game since release. They are all over Reaper's March.

Zenimax needs to overhaul the summoning animations of all the mounts, the regular mounts should run up from behind you, the flaming horse should spawn from fire, the ice horse should spawn from ice, the zombie horse should crawl out of the ground and the mind shriven horse should port in via a daedric portal.

  • illusionistik
I didn't think I would ever use anything other than my clouded leopard senche but this guy is pretty freaking awesome. Especially with that summoning animation. Kind of reminds me of Arvak a smidge.

    I don't want either of them because I don't like flashy mounts/costumes/pets/anything.

But not liking something because it is not your style is one thing. Not liking it because you think it doesn't fit the lore while there is actually something similar enough in the established lore already is another thing entirely.

But I really like that it has a special summoning animation instead of just phasing in and out of existence like the other mounts.

There are many like that. Some of them believe fanfics written by a certain person who doesn't work for Bethesda anymore are canon bot don't believe Skyrim or ESO are canon, others have a vague knowledge of TES lore but think they know everything about it and often call "lore breaking" what actually isn't.

I'm firm believer that zos likes money way more then lore.
    Just look at pumpkin polymorf.

Everytime something "flashy" is added, people cry "lore breaking" without considering what previous TES games had to offer.

I see that linking to Arvark's page on UESP wasn't enough, so I will post his picture here instead. Here is Arvak in Skyrim (Dawnguard):

Also, for the existing Dro-m'Athra in ESO:

Why did you quoted me for your "lorebreakingcry" comment?
I just want my bear with cool glowing. That's it)
It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt,
It lies behind stars and under hills,
    And empty holes it fills,
It comes first and follows after,
    Ends life, kills laughter.
