PvE Magblades got hammered pretty bad

In addition to the Dark Cloak nerf or fix for PvPers which isn't the point of the thread, I think ZOS went to far nerfing Magblades in PvE namely Funnel Health and Siphoning Attacks. I'm probably going to slot something else other than Siphoning on the Bar now but I'll keep on funneling health. My question or issue of the thread was funnel health over the top good when it healed two allies? Was Siphoning that much of an advantage. Its already much easier to run a Mag Sorc in PvE than a Magbalde, I can't see him doing much more than collecting dust. On the bright side the change to debilitate might be worth a look as you can apply it to several enemies.

Did you also not see the buffs to path of darkness and soul siphon? if you HAVE rely on siphoning attacks for everything you may need to review something. I NEVER have to use the DOT exploit as the base resto is enough for me. I am more concerned about the aspect of terror morph nerf it is already underused due to the fact that it requires tactics but when used correctly can be better than mass hysteria having it be both visible and especially only work on one target at a time especially with the 2 second delay the skill has makes it a crap morph now.

May I Direct you to this picture. The top DPS in that picture is doing 30k (27k in group damage) on the first boss in Vet version of the new trial.

you can't dps when you are dead xD. and sorc have beter survival and dps then mag nb

they can reach up to 40k. with is 33% more which is quite alot

From a PvE perspective neither Manifestation of Terror or Mass Hysteria are used that often or at all. In dungeons and Trials Siphoning attacks are used in conjunction with Twisting Path/Sap Essence to burn down trash. Twisting Path/Siponing attacks probably won't be on my DW AoE bar. I'll probably sub Magicka Detonation and Double take or something else.

@Xjcon I can't tell much about that picture about your play style and what you've sacrificed to get 30K. I'm assuming you aren't running a funnel health build you're using concealed weapon which depends on a a lot more support from the healer and tank than a funnel health build.

I added up the damage. If ya'll killed the boss that's normal, not vet. And to the person above me, you may not be familiar with magblades. They compare to DK's in terms of sustained damage while using funnel and far outclass sorcs especially on the 8-10 minute first boss on vet (41 million health plus millions of damage shields).

He may be using concealed weapon, but I've seen 32k+ parses with funnel.

32K+ Funnel Based DPS sounds amazing, I've never been able to get near those numbers on my MagBlade; My Damage rotation on single target is Merciless Resolve, Structured Entrophy, Cripple, 4x(La, Funnel Health), Soul Harvest, Spectral Bow. I'll probably end up mixing in Magicka Det based on the changes to twisting path and siphoning.

You know what? You can't tank or heal when your dead, either. And Zenimax has no problem whatsoever making sure tanks and healers have a challenge staying alive.
