They complain because it's far too easy to get now. 100k Gold or 200k AP *rolls eyes*
But if the vendor didn't exist, they'd still complain over dungeon RNG
- Does it actually drop the helmet
- Does it have the desired trait
Those prices are far too low considering you can run 100+ vet dungeons and still not get a helm.....or blow 50-100 keys and still not get the shoulder with the trait you are looking for.
This game is turning into GW2 and WOW where you earn nothing by playing the harder content and just buy everything with currency off some trading post or npc...
People will always choose this method over RNG bad luck. RIP Dungeons, guna be harder to get groups now.
Far too casual now.

Im sure people will still run the daily and the occasional helm farm. If they get the shoulders they want the smart thing to do would go do a few farming runs of the corespondent dungeon rather than waiting for the next piece to come into the vendor. Theres not way ZOS will put set pieces back to back.
I missed this. Where and when will we be able to purchase these items?
This makes me a sad panda...I'm with the others that say this is way to easy to get. What this is telling me is that instead of doing the dungeons to maybe get a drop at all, maybe get it in the right trait and the right weight, I can just spend half a day farming and make enough money to buy it instead.
I'm still against it existing in the first place, but now that it's definitely staying it should be drastically increased in price. They should be a nice alternative that gives you a definite chance of getting the weight/maybe trait you want for the PvPers and people who are sick of the RNG grind, but should still cost a very pretty penny.
I'll post what I put on the other helms thread here:This makes me a sad panda...I'm with the others that say this is way to easy to get. Okay maybe the price can go up just a wee bit... Maybe even implement a tactic in which every time you buy another set the AP price increases? Say the first set is 200k a piece, the second is 300k a piece and so on? This seems rather even for the first few sets.

Even this could be circumvented, in that if you bought them with gold you'd just grind up a new char to lvl 10, take the gold from the bank and buy another helm on that one without the raise in price. As AP is much easier to get too it'd be a lot quicker to go RR AP farming with your lvl 10 to get the necessary amount.
I can't speak for the AP price because I haven't PvPed much and the gain rate has changed, but I'd say that with the Infused traits they're getting now it should be at least 500k gold. These helms were intended to almost be a status symbol that you can beat the dungeons and that you did it enough to not have just fluked it, so making them this easy to get in the proper traits without even needing to ever run that dungeon once is very silly to me. It should be something that you earned, not that you got from running in circles around Wrothgar for a little while.

A level 10 char cant buy a v16 monster helmet... Just make it scale to the purchased level

Just because one generation of players had to grind for needless hours doesnt mean the next one should too.
I like the idea of the monster vendor. I have no wish to run endless re-runs of dungeons for a roll of the die chance to maybe get what I want. I know a lot of players do like to re-run dungeons but it's not my thing. Once is enough to enjoy the design & content.
If the AP cost is relatively cheap then it might be good incentive to pull more people into PVP & to stick with it until they achieve their goal... who knows... they might just get a taste for it!
I am honestly not being shirty here, if we/they did this would all be over and done. All this bickering between us sucks. It also causes nerfs which mess with PVE because of PVP and just everything.
I really wish this could be separated literally into 2 games.
