I understand the point to use it as a burst skill. My concern is that if Prox det would deal a minimal amount of damage to one player (as they promised), it would become just more useful to just slot another ability. But as we can see in the video above, Prox det still deals significant amount of damage with 40k magicka and 4k spell damage to a single player.
Prox det just needs to be completely scrapped as a skill. Ball groups are still going to be glowing blue in 2.3.
No matter which way they change the scaling, coordinated Proxes are going to be stupidly dangerous.
Also, Magicka DK has always been decent in 1v1's, I'm still not sure how the magicka DK buffs will translate into open world but I'm hoping for the best.

With a build like that i dont think very well. I saw you fight Kodi and your resource problems, i can only imagine how 1v3 would eat your resources

I only lost duels when using Kena, which eats up my resources.
With Bloodspawn I was able to manage through out all the duels.
Magicka DK seem just so much more tanky with the added healing and only being able to reflect once. Empowering chains is amazing and works like Ambush in that can be used while rooted and over gaps. The biggest thing though is the dot damage against shields and blocking targets. The pressure is always on, and in my fights against them on PTS my most used skill is probably purify >_<.

did they change shields so all dots work on them? Or is this just a dk thing?

Of course it will. But 2 coordinated proxi is gonna be way more dangerous for a group of 20 tight than the other way around. It will now be a zergbuster.

24 Well-coordinated Proxy Dets will be even more dangerous, hopefully this will break-up those giant pug zergs.
