Thieves Guild DLC AKA Nerfgate

I have been looking forward to this dlc for a really long time. I was excited that some of the things we needed were coming but what I didn't realize was at the cost. After reading though all the patch notes, I completely forgot this was a dlc. There is nothing on here that I am looking forward to or cant wait for it to come. All I am thinking now is Thank god its not coming to xbox until March 22nd. Sorry zos but this isn't about to get ppl to buy the dlc. The game is meant to be fun not something to dread.

    I'm not exactly sure what you're referring to, so if you're gonna complain about something you should really include what you're complaining about...
    I personally welcome this update. Toggle skills becoming non-toggle, AvA skills being easier to obtain, no new FotM sets, new insanely hard content, a seemingly intriguing quest-line I for once want to complete, interesting unlawful dailies etc. etc.

    Do share what you're unhappy about though!

    Some skills got changed, yes, it's not the end of the world. A lot of formerly useless skills have been buffed and vastly improved, too. Some of the nerfs may be there to help balance, others to help server response time (e.g. reducing the amount of players healed when spamming BOL, infinite buffs to other players with Rapids).

    PTS exists so we can test them out and try to give feedback. Things CAN be changed.

    I am unhappy about it all basically. The actually dlc stuff is pretty blah nothing to excited about. The assistant looks cool but other then that its nothing but more daily quests. The trial is nice but honestly how often do you do trials? It takes longer to get 12 ppl together then it actually does to do the trial. Tank roles are still pretty much obsolete and with the new changes will be even less used. And with this dlc, I can see that happening more and more to healers. Its turning into dps game not a roleplaying game. Anyone that is ever played mmo games before know that what kills the game the fastest is nerfs. Instead of creating balance they create negativity and then ppl stop playing. All I am saying is that after reading the patch notes, I should feel excited and can't wait to play it but instead I am just annoyed. I really do hope they read the feedback ppl are providing because if you read the other posts. I am not seeing anyone cheering about how great the changes are. Its pretty much all negavitive and I hope ZOS see what a clue that is and makes some serious changes.

    did you know that the term for balance or bringing something in line by decreasing its "power" is a derogatory one? something that those of us who balance games find amusing.

    Balancing does not mean reducing power it means balance. That can be done with reducing yes but it can also be done with by making other skills more viable. The skills do not need to be nerfed what needs to happen is for the devs to make it so we have more options to play. The way things are going is our options are limited not expanded. The devs are making it so we have to play a certain way. We have to play their way. That isn't what a role playing game is about. Its about choices and building characters how you want to play. There needs to be balance but that does not mean u have to kill abilities to bring balance.
