  • Rapid Maneuver:
    • This ability and its morphs now only affect your group, instead of any friendly nearby ally.

Yes! Yes! Yes! No more being forced to draw my weapon for no good reason in the bank. No more running into doors because of the sudden unexpected speedup. @AlienSlof you should be very happy too. :)

Well that's just foolish, I don't know how many times I've cast it on a random person who was running to attack/ defend a keep, or to get them through the breaches

Why does someone have to be in your group to receive a simple buff like this?

They're also changing the max number of targets affected by this so I assume the group change is kind of logical to go with that - prioritizing your group over randoms. ...well, somewhat.
I'm not sure, seems like that'll be the case for quite a few skills though, they're either trying to encourage grouping(which is very much not needed as we can see by all the zergs) or reduce the server load and hence lag. If the latter works, hey, points to Zeni. ...not holding my breath though>.>

Nice! That should help with pvp lag I'd think. I always notice that so many people use that skill at once in big group in pvp that it makes the sound bug out and even make ur character lag out.

Boy is that gonna drop AP for some types xD Right?

(Healer in PVP so I'm not using it but it does grant AP to those affected or? Well did.... lol)

I love free speed boosts while running around town.

But it is bad for emotions, it stops them and lets you draw your weapons. And it looks rather silly, when this buff is forced on you while you are "walking" through town - what I do a lot, especially when wearing noble clothes, a lady is never in a hurry.

Exactly, it does not look good in a noble dress.

I have suggested somewhere in the forum, to give players a "rested" bonus, if they walk or ride slowly for a while. This would make towns a bit more lifelike, currently they look more like crazy bee hives with people running around all over the place. But I understand, that play time is for some very limited and they prefer to run all the time. I want to walk sometimes and be left alone while I enjoy my walk through town and not be speeded up - so this change is a good one for me.

Edit: as a side note, it is pretty interesting how people react, when I am walking through town. A lot suddenly stop and run to me, looking at me for a couple of seconds, realizing that I am not an NPC and then they continue with their tasks. My character blends into the NPCs when I am walking, I like that.

Some people like to meet in a local inn and have a chat or dance and do something "social" for a little while. If such a boost is spammed there, it throws them all out of their immersion, because it disrupts the emotions and all draw their weapons.
