just to say on my NB I could still proc this set with funnel -> light attack -> funnel => procd.

✭✭They "fixed" it for abilities with no cost:
Molag Kena: Fixed an issue where the 2-piece Overkill bonus would still proc if you used an ability that did not have a cost in between the two Light Attacks.
Abilities with cost are apparently still able to proc the 2pc bonus.
