Yep. As long as they stay at one DLC per quarter and no DLC ever costs more than 4500 Crowns, subbing gives you enough "free" Crowns to own every DLC, with a few left over for fluff stuff that doesn't include any new content.

and that is still correct, as long as you are subscribing. Its when you stop that there is an issue since you are no longer receiving the benefits. Besides if you subscribed for any length of time you should have more than enough Crowns to just go and buy the DLC anyway

You did you had access to all DLC packs for as long as you subbed.

You are no longer a sub.

This is not hidden information, if you pay enough attention to no about no eta and watch ESO live you at least heard this information before.

    You obviously didn't process it.

Irrespective of the fact that OP doesn't understand the obvious thing of how subbing works regarding the access to DLC's, he's right in one matter - and I saw that it was pointed out many times on the forum.
The thing is the access to DLC should be kept after unsubbing if the player was a subscriber for a certain period of time. E.g. if the player is a subscriber for at least 4 months, he should acquire ownership of one DLC, for at least 8 months - two DLCs, etc.
If subscription works this way, I would be a subscriber too.

That would only work I think if you didn't get any Crowns for subbing. As I said above, you get 4500 Crowns per quarter, which is more than enough to buy one DLC per quarter, so you essentially do get ownership of the DLC with your sub, as long as you aren't spending more than 2000 of those free Crowns per quarter on fluff and shortcuts.

    I will say this slowly:

    Sub - scri - bing

    means the following:

While you are subscribed you do not have any restrictions, you have access to all DLC and do not need to purchase it, while subscribed. You also recieve 10% exp and inspiration boost. You also get a nice crown bonus equal in value to your subscription. ( most ppl who sub but plan to stop use these crowns to buy the DLC ).

    Simple enough?

Literally any game with a sub or premium content works like this. Hell even some social perks in real life work like this. VIP access > peasant access. :sunglasses:

Perhaps he was confused by that We don't want the player to worry about which parts of the game to pay for - with our system, they get it all thing, because right now it seems as though they wanted players to worry about which parts of the game to pay for, and not giving it all, not even to subscribers. I, for one, find such reversals very confusing!

Illogical argument due to the fact that had this stayed a sub only game, you would have lost access to the whole game if you unsubscribed, not just the DLC.

You get enough crowns from sub to look at buying DLC if you need. I'm sitting on 16,000 crowns so far.

It's a perk of subscribing. You get to play all content. Like any MMO with a sub.

Subscribers do get access to the entire game, though.

Thing is, once you unsubscribe, you are not a subscriber anymore. I can't make it simpler than this.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

    It actually makes sense.

You subscribe, you get to experience the entire game.

You don't, you can still experience the game, just not the juicy DLCs.

I feel lucky they made them available for crowns (outside the subscription) so I could buy them, since I refuse to sub.

And this was all explained by them, what is the issue here? As someone wrote above, learn to read problem.

so what you thought was.. you can spend 12$ for one month and after that month you don't need to sub anymore or spend anything and you'll keep all the DLC..

well no doesn't work like that, you get 1500 crowns for 1 month sub, save up the crowns, so if you been a sub for 8 months you'll have a total of 12,000 crowns, with those crowns you can permenantly buy all the DLCS.

    That makes so much sense,.....

First of all, subscription or not has nothing to do with loyalty at all. Subcription comes with a package of services, like more XP gain, access to all DLCs and crowns. This is the package you buy with your money. If you stop buying, it is clear that this package is no longer available - just put a NO inf front of all these benefits and you see, how it works:

    1. NO access to DLCs
    2. NO additional 10% XP gain
    3. NO allotment of 1500 crowns per month paid subscription

IC is a DLC - so you unsub, you have no access to it any longer - what is so hard to understand with that?

That is what I like with EVE online - you can just play it for longer than 30 days, if you subscribe and just as long as you are subscribed. You dont have to pay for any expansion ever, it is all included. Just certain cosmetical items or special services like character trransfers between accounts and so are extra priced. But otherwise you sub, you can play the game in full, you unsub, the game is paused for you - you don't loose anything, you just cannot play it while not subcribed - but you can sub at any time again and continue your adventure - I actually like this model a lot, given that EVE online is nearly bug free, well maintained, well balanced and they monitor the economy and usage of ships and modules carefully to keep it in balance so that there is no FotM issue in EVE. ZOS might some day as well get to a point, where they understand that this is important.

Edit.; and much more important - EVE has no end game, it would take 22 years to max all out and in the meantime new stuff and new skills would be invented and added to the game. The lack of an endgame is what makes it so enjoyable and that skill-training is time based, not grind based. I can happily play ESO, will I keep progressing in EVE - I do not have to login to progress, what is as well nice for casual players with not that much time to play. It feels a lot more relaxed this way.
