Twice-Born crafted set badly broken

I've been using the 9-Trait Twice-Born crafted set, which is supposed to let you carry the effects of two Mundus Stone boons...and I've discovered that the second boon disappears every time I log off, and even if I just swap out a piece of gear for half a second.

This means that what should be an awesome reward for a long term investment in research time and rare resources (since it's my primary 16 armor) is constantly rendered useless.

I'll submit a ticket, but I thought others might want to join me in my bitter rage.

If you drop the 5-piece bonus, even for a second, you will lose the second mundus and need to reacquire it. As for logging off and losing the second mundus, I'd call that a bug.

Don't change your equipment. Don't use Twice born in your weapons.
One of my characters uses TBS and he kept the two mundus boons for weeks.

I agree completely that this set needs to be tweeked. I use it and love it; if you have 5 static pieces that are armor lets say with Twice born then no problem; but if you have 4 armor and weapons in both slots are Twice born and you switch weapons then it can drop (if memory serves correctly).

Tthere is no issue with Twice-Born. If you swap armor or weapons and drop the 5 piece bonus, the extra mundus stone will drop. As long as you have 5 pieces equipped, the 2nd mundus stone will stay on.

Hmm don't think there is any issue with the set just that you're probably doing something wrong.

It works perfectly fine for me and I never drop my two mundus unless I want to.

Soon I'll be able to craft this set, thanks for your information.

I think that if someone equip this set and has two mundus stones effects and then change any of the part of the armor, leaving the set incomplete, then the second effect should disappear, but if you equip that part again they should do that appears again and not that you have to travel to the mundus stone again...

but most important is the log off.... that is really a pain if it is true what you say....

But let's make thing better, the other day someone paste a pic of a guy with ALL mundus stones. I was like shock really, because I'm researching, investing money and effort like a noob to have only 2 stupid mundus stones while others get ALL OF THEM for free.

Is like cheat, bugs and use exploits in this game > everything else.

I know of 8 people that use this set and all but one have 5 armor, only one has weapons as part of the set.

The one with weapons has had this happen on a few occasions but he inadvertent weapon equipping was the cause for dropping one mundus.

None of the 5 piece armor set players have had this issue at all.

I use 4 pieces of armor and weapons and have no issue with losing the 2nd mundus stone on swap. I have also used Overload and Werewolf with this setup and neither caused an issue with the 2nd mundus stone.

Just a side note, if you want to maintain the bonus while moving stuff around/upgrading gear, have a crafter make you an extra low level piece of Twice Born star armor. You can put it while you take another piece off to upgrade or replace.

I will never understand the excuses some people make for an issue like this. User error? Don't wear the same set? I think I was well within my rights to expect that my second boon would be saved, and would become active again whenever I equip a fifth piece of this set. It should work no matter what combo of items I choose to use.

Yes, I have four armor and a weapon...the point of which is to swap crafted set effects everytime I swap my weapon. If my aromor is 4 x Twice-Born and 3 x Something Else, I can go from offense to defense by switching from a TB Restoration Staff to Dual Wielding two weapons with the second set's effects. This works for every other crafted set, and should work for TB.

I truly appreciate the offers to craft replacements, but I crafted this set myself...after spending months researching the Nirnhoned trait, and spending much time and gold on getting 1000+ V16 materials together. Thus my annoyance.

Which is a reason I stopped using Twice-Born. It didn't make since to have a PVE set and PVP set where I was using one, but not two versions of the same. Or if I accidentally click something, I have to trudge across half of Tamriel to get the second boon back (which is a pain).

I'd rather Twice-Born just give you the option to select your second boon the moment you put it on, and leave it at that.

Sounds like you did not understand how this set works and made the wrong decision in terms of itemization...everyone else seem to understand that you have to keep 5 pieces on all the time in order to keep the mundus...I would suggest asking a question or doing research before crafting something as expensive and as time consuming as this set...

Using Twice-Born Star on your weapons is buggy, you'll lose the 2nd buff randomly (suggested to be on weapon swap). And yes, this is with 5 piece on both bars.

I thought they fixed this ***, but I just tested and there's still an issue. I don't lose it during wep swap, but I do lose it during logoff.

Don't blame others, they are just telling you how it works and what is sometimes bugged. We didn't design the damn thing so a little chill is in order on your part.

I've been running TBS for months as both a 5pc on body and 5pc with body/weapons mixed and never had an issue.

If you take off a 5th piece however you lose the bonus and while it would be nice for it to remember, I'm not sure where this expectation for it came from. Seems like a given, to me, that it'd drop, and need to be re-applied.

This reply is correct and the second mundus does need to drop when the set drops below 5 PC since the character no longer has what is needed to have double mundus.

i had similar probs -

for me it was the fact that I had a two handed sword in one slot and dual swords in the other - when i changed to duel weapons in both it seemed to work and remember what was what when you logged out and back in again -

so I'm guessing that the bug is still about i just found a bit of a work around - because it was more anyoing to me to have to go and get the 2rd mundus stone fixed every time i logged in than it was to lose using two-handed sword - haven't tried it with other two handed weapons

like I say it's not a fix but a work around and I did kinda hope that the latest patch might have had some positive effect upon it but obviously not............

I just switched this set out before the patch and am so much happier. It was such a pain switching gears for pvp and going back to TBS set to have to re apply the second mundus stone every time.

I used 5 piece armor and had no problems when I would long off. Did they nerf the crit? I briefly skimmed through the patch notes and didn't see a nerf?

The set works fine, and is still very strong. The issue is that you simply cant drop the 5 piece or you will lose the second mundus. You absolutely can use TBS weapons to complete the 5 piece, you just need to have one on both bars. I ran that way for months with 2 TBS staffs and 4 armor pieces.

Dont get me wrong, I wish they would change the functionality a bit. It does mean that you cant change gear mid run.

Yeah that is a little weird. I havent had that bug. The problem is that exploits keep popping up with this set to allow double mundus at all times. It probably has something to do with their fix.

Seems like they simply need to rethink the code on how this set functions.

The log off thing is PROBABLY to keep cheaters from glitching it permanently on their characters.

It sucks, but the few dirtbags always ruin it for the majority.

Here's an interesting tidbit....as I said before, I'm DW front bar with 1 TBS, TBS bow backbar. If I log out while my back bar Bow is equipped, then I DON'T lose the 2nd mundus. Seems as though I'm only losing it when I log out while on my DW front bar. @ZOS_GinaBruno would you please pass that info along, as it may help coders with correcting it.

I'm curious if there is anyone running TBS staves on both bars and whether they have this issue or not. Or even 2 X 2h on both bars. Just wondering if it's DW/2H related, or maybe just DW related.

Lazy people like me. I don't and WON'T deal with rng. So I use julianos for my magicka dps and hundings for my stamina dps characters. All of them.
