Armor Values

Hello all,

I have been looking for a single location that would have all the armor values for legendary (gold) VR16 armor pieces so that I could theorycraft a few different ideas to hit the armor cap. Failing to find one, I set out to hunt down these values and consolidate them into one place for all.

I broke it into armor weight (heavy, medium, and light) and then into the four different armor value pieces (Helm, Shoulders, Legs, and Boots are all the same value).

HEAVY:
Chest=2772
Helm/Shoulder/Legs/Boots=2425 (per)
Gloves=1386
Belt=1039

MEDIUM
Chest=2084
Helm/Shoulder/Legs/Boots=1823 (per)
Gloves=1042
Belt=781

LIGHT
Chest=1396
Helm/Shoulder/Legs/Boots=1221 (per)
Gloves=698
Belt=523

Reinforced adds a percentage as well giving the following values

HEAVY REINFORCED:
Chest=3215
Helm/Shoulder/Legs/Boots=2813 (per)
Gloves=1607
Belt=1205

MEDIUM REINFORCED
Chest=2417
Helm/Shoulder/Legs/Boots=2114 (per)
Gloves=1208
Belt=905

LIGHT REINFORCED
Chest=1629
Helm/Shoulder/Legs/Boots=1416(per)
Gloves=809
Belt=606

Shields add 1675 for non-reinforced and 1995 if it is reinforced
With 75points in the Steed shields become 3010 and 3491 reinforced ****Thanks @MrTarkanian48

Heavy armor adds 362 per piece at maxed passives and Light armor adds 362 spell resistance at maxed passives.

Also when attempting to calculate physical or spell resistance do not forget to factor in any defending traited weapons (they add a set percentage) as well as any CP bonuses (such as boosting say medium armor with medium armor focus) as well as jewelry and armor set bonuses.

663 armor = 1% resistance
33150 = 50% resistance (Hard cap) ****Thanks @paulsimonps

Hope this helps and if anyone has any questions or suggestions please let me know =D

    For those that might want to test mitigation with this info, here is some more info for you.

    Resistance per 1% Mitigation: 663
    Resistance Hard-cap (50% Mitigation): 33150

    nice work both of you. It would be great if all this scattered knowledge and testing was consolidated somewhere...

    Awesome post. I had to track down all this info a couple weeks ago.

    Another thing worth adding would be the "Shield Expert" passive with 75 CP in the Steed tree which provides 75% additional armor to your shield. I believe the numbers for the shield would be 3010 and 3491(Reinforced trait).

    Thanks for the tips!

    I will add those to the original post (with due credit) as soon as I am able!

    Glad it could be of help so far :)

    So basically, reinforcing a heavy chest doesn't even give 1% extra mitigation?

    And there I almost considered it over Impenetrable...

    Yea it is a bit underwhelming on a single piece, but if you consider once you have it in quite a few spots it can add up to being ~5% it does not seem to be TOO bad.

    Admittedly there may be better uses for your traits if you have enough resistance already!

    High resist ain't all that great to begin with. Considering all the other mitigation sources.

    Hi, great post indeed, I have been trying to chase down this information myself as I am trying to figure out which v16 set I should craft for my Dragonknight tank.

    So, is it possible to reach the armor cap without using a set that gives increased resistance, and without dumping CPs into Heavy Armor Focus? Can anyone provide any examples?

    I read that all the amor value are base of Vet16 Legendary quality (Gold),but are the value listed for shields base of Vet16 Legendary quality as well?

    Yes they were. Everything on the list was based on Legendary VR16 which should also translate to cp160 come DB, but I will check and update it when it comes to Xbox one (which is what I am on).

    Any PC players that can confirm this is the case?

    Thank you, makes things much more easier for end game (Legendary) theory crafting with resistance side of things....

    Off topic is anyone running a tank build and hitting resistance cap (buff or unbuff) with a certain set wearing 5 heavy 1 light 1 medium? Before I spend time adding numbers base of the value from this OP.

    My theory crafting will be base the Armor Master set. If people are interested I'll post the results.

    I don't have the precise numbers on hand, but I certainly imagine it being possible with 5 heavy buffed up. If I recall you can even hit it with armor master, and MAYBE base Pariah in medium as well.

    I recall myself running a lot of numbers on the above build as I tried to figure out what would end up being more productive: tank sets made in medium for the medium damage Passives, or damage sets made in heavy armor for the heavy Passives to cover the tanking aspect of it (both made for a tank, not a dps). Yet, I have to dig out that notebook to update this post which I'll do next time I come across it!

    That is a very interesting build. Hmm 5 medium tank reaching "close to" or reaching resistance cap and put out half decent dps. Really interested seeing the numbers who are running this type of build and sharing their experience :blush:

    This is base of current DB PTS atm with Cp160 Legendary Gear comparing REINFORCED & NIRNHONED on armor.
    (Which of the two will give you higher resistancs depends on the piece of armor it's on)

    Legendary Reinforced gives 16% more Armor value to that particular piece the trait is on.

    Legendary Nirnhoned (Armor) gives a flat rate of 301 more Armor value.

    So if people were to figure out which of the 2 traits to put on what piece to make the most of resistance (Min/Maxing)

    Armor Value above 1881 Reinforced will give u a higher number then Nirnhoned 301 flat rate increase

    Armor Value below 1881 Nirnhoned 301 flat rate will be higher compared to reinforced if you were to put a reinforced trait on that piece instead
