Made you look.

It is weird that they haven't really come out and said anything on a campaign that they've been running for months...no? Even google searches in the last 24 hours or so don't give much at all for results. Where's the marketing? Where's the articles?

Kind of seems like a ZOS marketing fail....

Judging by the amount of posts and questions it seems like....yeah, right?

You guys dropped a Millon bucks and didn't get an article on any reputable gaming site in the last week....? If I google ESO Million Dollars for the last week....I get things like....threads on bernie sanders becoming president in the forums?

Did someone drop the ball or is this PVP Justice System 2.0...?

Well to be fair they did use the ambiguous phrasing "On or about Monday, February 1, 2016"

..but I am impatient to find out who my new best friend is :p

Seems like the constructive portion is pretty obvious?

You run a campaign to give away a huge amount of money.
You try to bring in new and older players alike for a fresh look at some marketing.

Then halfway through it fizzes out? Perhaps they should've been ramping this up over the last weeks in excitement and drawing more and more in until the last minute....but instead they've gone radio silence for a long time and on the day of the drawing it's as if they have forgotten about it....

    Maybe they're finalizing the legalities.

Maybe they're in contact or trying to contact the winner prior to the announcement.

Maybe marketing has more in store for the announcement then a simple "yada yada so and so won."

    Then again maybe ZoS failed.

How quickly we jump to the last one.

How quickly some whiteknight poor execution.

Oh certainly - No doubt there will be a delay from a draw to announcements - contacting, confirming they are real, getting permission for their stuff (probably rather announce a real person and do photos and what not)

But c'mon. This is clearly a marketing fail and lost opportunity not only for today, but the last weeks leading up to today. If you have a bunch of people going "wait, so did this happen?" - there's clearly been a gap in communication.

I'm wondering if whoever it is will opt to remain annonymous(if they're in a state that allows that). I know I would, if I won. Have enough relatives, don't need any to come out of the woodwork ;)

With ZOS' track record, you can't exactly blame people for jumping to the last conclusion. I mean, just take a look at one of their recent patch attempts. They managed to break overload (a sorcerer's ultimate) by attempting to fix a bug associated with dodge rolling. They're not even remotely related. How they managed to screw that one up is beyond me.

Turns out NOBODY lived in the areas that were allowed to enter, so in a twist, THERE WAS NO WINNER.

We can only hope they take that million dollars to put towards (further) improving the game.

What makes you so flustered? Who is cheating you? So if ZoS or any other company doesn't run on your timetable do you get this upset all the time? If your favorite cereal company is a day late in releasing its Count Chunkula for Halloween do you say the company has failed? What's your purpose in doing so? What need does it fill for you?

Frankly, I wouldn't want either to be used, since guilds and friends lists are bound to my username, not my character.

Lol, you think people that are already involved / know about the sweepstakes and talking about it on general discussion is good marketing for the game?

If there were 20 articles and comments out there - yeah they'd be talking. Relatively - NOBODY is talking. That's a pretty big marketing fail.

Equating White knight to some sort of race relation is just stupid. Even if you were to, it would be upholding the status quo for the institutions in place.

You're really reaching to defend a big fail there fanboi.

Literally, this post has more views than posts from years ago.

It's insane the compay would not have said anything or finished our their marketing campaign in the last few years.

Just throwing money away when they could've been revamping the player base with marketing blitzes over this...
