Hi,
Not sure if this is the right place or not to post this. I'm a PS4 player. And I would like someone from Zeni to address this. It has become a huge issue and is artificially inflating prices as the issues become one of price fixing, threats to players, etc.
There is a group of players on the PS4 who have created a monopoly on the trading stalls. I'd have no problem with this except here is what is happening. This small group, and it's just a few players, create dummy guilds and recruit all week. They then take these dummy guilds, and buy every trader in Wayrest, Raw'l Ka, Mournhold, and a couple other cities. They buy these spots for cheap (because they have threatened other guilds who might otherwise bid on carts), and then after the reset Monday morning, they then auction off or sell the trader carts to other members of their guild alliance. This is done by disbanding the guild, which opens the cart for the bidder/buyer to take over the cart for the week. I do have names, and can bring forth a lot of people who have been threatened, etc.
What happens then, which is also of concern, is the traders are told what prices they can sell materials at. Particularly purple and gold upgrade materials. If you do not conform to their pricing model, you are kicked from the guild.
I have read the terms of use, and while this is not addressed, I do think and hope you will consider this behavior not in the spirit of the game and look into it. If you need more information, please email me. I do not want to name names in a public forum.
Please feel free to move this wherever, as long as someone from Zeni see's it to address.

If a group owns guilds, and their traders, being threatened to not be able to join a guild or sell at a trader is threatening. Spamming their inbox is certainly against the EULA. Can anything be done physically, no. But this is a game, and threatening someone, or other people from playing the game in the way it was intended is an issue

xxxDrDoom✭✭Because of the threats made, people aren't bidding on stalls any longer. The stalls in Raw'l sold today for 1K. The folks doing this, were in area chat selling them for 1.4M and then bragging on how they were pocketing the money.

Messages that threaten are in fact against the rules and is an offense for which one can be banned. I would start with reporting it with a screenshot of the message.
Edit: I belong to a large trade guild on PS EU and have never been told to sell at a certain price. So at least not all guilds do this...Edited by myrrrorb14_ESO on February 1, 2016 4:30PM4 -

Harass, stalk, threaten, embarrass, spam or do anything else to another user of any Services that is unwanted, such as repeatedly sending unwanted messages or making personal attacks or statements about race, sexual orientation, religion, heritage, etc.;
...
If you can elaborate on this to ZOS (probably not here - PM a mod and/or open a CS ticket), that may be helpful in furthering your case.

xxxDrDoom✭✭The problem with the message being posted, which I will do to Zeni directly if they are interested. Is that punishing one or two of the players of the group does not solve the problem. The groups behavior as a whole needs to be addressed.2

I'm curious to know exactly how someone threatens you in a video game. If they are making real-world threats then that's a crime and you should definitely be reporting those people. I'm not trying to debate anything. I think we're actually really curious what you mean by threaten. You can't just say that they threatened a person or a group of people and not say how.
How did they threaten them? Bodily harm? Hacker attacks? PvP threats? We really want to know.7 -

Well if you post something in the General Discussion forum you can generally expect that people will discuss it. I just can't imagine a "threat" that I would get in-game where my response would be anything but "LOL, whatever newb." smacx250✭✭✭✭✭If you have opened tickets, I'd suggest you PM someone like @ZOS_GinaBruno, pointing them to the thread, providing the ticket numbers, and including what ever additional information you may have on how the behavior may be violating the TOS.
Also, do you have any specific suggestions for altering the guild trader mechanics that would hinder such behavior, but wouldn't unduly negatively affect those that "play the trader game" without resorting to tactics that may violate the TOS? Ideally the game mechanics would prevent this kind of behavior, but that might not be reasonably possible.

✭✭✭✭✭It really depends on the kind of threat - just taking over the market by buying all the traders and say, you won't sell anything ever again, if you do not comply to our method of handling those things - is not a threat, but market pvp. It has to be actual offense which is ruining the game for others just for the sole purpose of ruining it without that there is reasonable gameplay behind it. If just manipulating the market would count as a threat, EVE online would be empty by now, market pvp is common there and market manipulations as well - so you will have ot be very specific with what kind of threats those are and they might not count as threats in the end - but just be market pvp - so prepare for good arguments and proof with it.0 -

You could have come here and gotten people to support you and fight on your side. Instead, you came to General Discussion with claims of vague threats and no proof to support it, thinking that there won't be a discussion about it. People asked valid questions in a non-combative way, and your only response was "I don't have to prove anything to you people."
