Look, the m.o. here has always been the same: (1) put things on test server; (2) watch 100 people on text server say X is broken; (3) ignore the 100 test comments and go live; (3) for a year + note 1,000 new people comment on the same bug live; (4) say you are working on it (say this over and over and over; fanboys will always defend you); (5) finally institute a "fix" that solves 1/2 the problem with X, but adds problems Y and Z; (6) rinse and repeat.

The above summarizes the last two years here. I recall the days when hundreds could pvp lag free in forts, and all skills would actually go off. Been all downhill ever since.

That's why I say boycott pts. They never fix anything we report anyways UNLESS it is a new XP grind that is really good, or some skill exploit. If we are honest the pts is nothing more than a tool for people to discover new exploits that they won't report, test to see if old exploits still work, and to quickly figure out what will be the new meta and defend against anyone who says X skill is OP.

No offense against ZoS so don't take it that way ZoS admins, but this is the truth from my perspective. In your defense you do fix things but not major things that are reported. IC pts was a good example :)

I was too...then i played Alpha. Bullet sponges and a poorly implemented pvp system. Shoot a flare up to let everyone know you're trying extract the best loot in the game out of a pvp zone....guess how the extraction spots went. Camped by gankers 24/7.

Why bother fighting the bosses to get the epic loot drops, just camp the extraction points and kill the player trying to get the epic loot out. Thats the pvp formula so far in The Division. Ill try beta Thursday and see if it changes, but too optimitic given thats core gameplay by design.
    Ha

Man you just made it a long week for me! That's a bummer about the PvP, I've been looking forward to a 3rd person shooter ever since SOCOM II....

It's nothing new for developers to launch patches with known bugs not yet fixed, Turbine for example have always issued their patch notes alongside a list of known issues.

Having played several 'test realms' on different games now ive come to the conclusion that most developers use them the same now. Simply as a way to make sure the patch doesn't take out the server.

Sure maybe they collect data, or suggestions, or even start looking at bugs. Or heck they do all those things. But nothing is getting fixed. It is simply a test for massive failure.

If you are lucky 3 or 4 months down the line a bug that was mentioned gets fixed, or a skill everyone knew was horribly broken gets tweaked. And life goes on.

I watched the part of the video where they briefly mentioned a known battle spirit bug. However they seemed to have glossed over it. Can someone explain what to expect starting tomorrow (Tuesday)? Am I correct in understanding the Battle Spirit bug will only effect certain builds? If so, does anyone know which builds will be effected?

Go into Cyrodiil and check your Character sheet. Look at your buffs. Read the buff Battle Spirit. Notice the health increaes it gives. Now look at your health and note the number.

Tomorrow, after the patch, your health in Cyrodiil will be reduced by 1000s because ZOS broke the buff the Battle Spirit gives.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Slightly confused. You mentioned the Battle Spirit bug would make it into console. I patched console today and notice there is NO battle spirit buff, however my health is exactly the same in Cyrodiil today as it was yesterday(I made it a point to capture my stats pre-patch)

Was there a certain scenario where the Battle Spirit bug impacted some characters and not others?

I had to rewind and hear this again a few times. Unbelievable. You are giving console the broken Battle Spirit you delivered to PC, and you know it, yet you still are delivering the broken patch to console.

Seriously...I don't want the patch. How about that? Just forget the patch and give us NOTHING until you test and fix your crap. But let me guess, you already submitted it to MS/PSN so it's too late....right?

I'd like to know how it's remotely possible that you didn't see the Battel Spirit bug. All you had to do was login and look at your health in Cyrodiil. If you played your own game at all, you would know in a instant if your health was off on your VR16 because you play it everyday. INSTANTLY KNOW IT.

The real problem here is that on console we get patches months after something is identified as broken because of the lengthy console certification process....so we're screwed until at least March on this issue. Much like the Guild bank issue with the IC patch and the no prices in the Guild Store issue....two months before a fix came.

    I'm just tired of it.

    19:19 into the video...

Who wanted this game on console again? I stop and think about how much better this game would be if they had jus stuck to PC.

Oh nevermind. I see whats broken...

Fixed an issue where Battle Spirit would occasionally fail to apply when you entered Cyrodiil or Imperial City.
    Known Issues:
The Battle Spirit buff will no longer show up in your Active Effect window. This is a temporary change, and will be fixed in Update 9 (our next major update).
The Battle Spirit Health bonus will no longer be modified or increased by other Health percentage increases. This is a temporary change, and will be fixed in Update 9 (our next major update
    ).
