That is exactly what I did. Now tell me why my customer response came from Bethesda. I'm all ears.
Okay it is a bit strange if you ask me... Most of my dealings were handled by Zenimax not Bethesda.
But harder cases might be different. I just thought I give you some helpful info...
People do that to get a reaction out of you. If you were telling him to stop, or talking to him (wich you did) that was precisely what he was out for. When you notice a troll, you just ignore it. he'll go away eventually. But if you feed it, he'll stay.
Like hobos.

You're right. I logged in to the ESO Support website and both my tickets are there. Also there are two other tickets which I submitted for bugs on January 17. None of the tickets - not one of them - has had a response.
Seriously, Zenimax? Do you even have a customer service department???

Well, bugs will not get a response. Actually, now that I think about it, they typically do not respond to Player Reports, either. They either do something to the player, or not, but we never find out what this is, if anything.
Why didn't you block them?
... Then just zoning out means they won't be able to follow you (because there's no way to track someone through a wayshrine to a different part of the map or to a different zone). You don't have to log off or anything. I mean, guy was a *** but there was also a lot more you could have done to make sure he couldn't *** with you.

So they just continue to list it as "Unresolved"??
They could at least change the standing of the ticket so you know the problem's been addressed.

After reporting them, I did.... Then just zoning out means they won't be able to follow you (because there's no way to track someone through a wayshrine to a different part of the map or to a different zone). As I've said repeatedly throughout this thread, I was trying to finish a quest - the last quest of a zone - and I needed to finish it before moving to the next zone. Yes, I could have "zoned out" but really, @Drakilian, why should I have to do that? Stop what I'm doing, postpone my completion of the zone, because there's not an effective mechanism for dealing with this in-game?
I'm sorry, putting the blame on me is beyond idiotic. Why not just warn him or kick him from the game? Anything less and Zenimax is saying it's okay to do this.
IrishGirlGamer wrote: »@RizaHawkeye: As others have said, I'm sorry this happened to you. This game and its community are better than that.
As to Zenimax: A similar thing happened to me back in the early days of the game (a player was stalking me for awhile). I reported it and within an hour I got a response form CS, asking questions. I was never told the details of the resolution, just that the issue was resolved, and I didn't hear from that person again.
Now, I don't know what Zenimax does now, but back then they did take these reports seriously. And according to guild chat, players have been kicked from the game. Take that for what it's worth.
One thing I want to add: Be very careful. It's usually better, as others have said, to ignore the person completely and just log out or go somewhere else. It sounds like you were in the middle of something and that's too bad, but staying there only opened you up to more harassment, even if it was just having your game interrupted.
Another thing to think about: Is your game name the same as or similar to your forum name? (Not your character name, your game name.) Do you use this name on other forums or social media? Don't answer this on the forum - just think about it. You do realize people can see that name in-game? (And if it is the same, maybe change your game name? Customer Support can do that for you.)
People are saying there is no way to track you, but there are ways - and there are people who will search across forums and the Internet to find out information about people. Unfortunately, the Internet is not always a nice place. Be smart.
Not blaming you, but from your initial post it just seemed like you basically didn't do anything to stop the guy from *** with you.
I mean, you can't blame Zenimax for people being ***. Just a thing that happens, have to deal with it (and them) in whatever way you can. Which can mean doing more than just reporting them.
It's too bad we can't just enable temporary PvP on people (and maybe call in guard support) when they're *** in-game somehow. You can dream though right?

I agree with almost everything you said - players just have to be smart. I don't think she can blame Zenimax, but I do think there's more Zenimax could do to bring some support in-game.
I don't agree with PvP comment. It sounds as if he was way over her level, and he could have started spamming her with duel requests.
Although, if I could PvP, I would have called on my guildies and thoroughly enjoyed watching them trash him.

Can you even do this to a player in your faction? Duel request?

I was thinking of having the NPCs refuse to give him quests and access to their shops because he's known around town as a an a**hole. Cue the sassy NPC dialogue.
"You think I will do business with you? After what you said? Away with you."
"Normally I wouldn't care who came to my assistance, but I think I'd be better off asking a brute to do the job instead of you"
"Hmpf. I'm surprised they let unseemly riff raff like you wander the streets."

Some good ideas
I like the idea that if XX number of in game players mute you or report you that you would immediately have a very large flashing text in the center of your screen that says,
"YOU HAVE BEEN MUTED!"
or
"YOU HAVE BEEN REPORTED!"
or both of them. I imagine that this kind of un-removable flashing message would be extremely annoying. Additionally, anyone with this flashing text would be automatically triggered for investigation. At this point the NPC's could start reacting unfavorably to the culprit as stated above, and as well any guards could kill him on sight.
To keep these features from being abused, everyone involved, the reporters and the reported, will be investigated, and if foul play is discovered by Zeni, then whoever is in the wrong will be account banned.
Once a determination was finalized by Zeni, then the guilty could be placed in Molag Bal's lightning prison cells, or similar, with a very large text on-screen that says,
"XX DAYS OF PRISON BAN ARE REMAINING".
Anyone in prison would have perma-mute, and only fists for weapons. OPTIONALLY, Zeni could design a button on the outside of the prison wall that any public player could push, and it would wake up a HUGE un-defeatable Bear Boss that would literally dismember anyone in the prison.
Ultimately this would automate the mute/ban process to some extent, while still giving Zeni ultimate control over the outcome.
.
What about people suffering from tourette syndrome?
Everytime I meet a *** I can't hold myself and start swearing. Oh, wait, this is a normal reaction, right?
