dunmer have flame talent as well as fire resist? how is that lore breaking if nord have talent with something they grew up surrounded by?
But Nord are warrior, not especially magician. Resistance to frost but no affinity with frost.
Dunmer are magician (and warrior, but less than Nord), they grew up with flame, a boost and a resistance seem good for them.
If we speak only about lore, he's right.
But Nord really need a boost.

redguard nords and orsiMER dislike magic, yet all ES races use magic including imperials. every race has menders and mages according to ES lore.
with CP i think racial passives are not essential. just a thought for nord.

Nords don't particularly like magic. They're hardy people that got accustomed to the harsh cold in skyrim which explains the cold resistance. If you're stickly about lore (most of the TES people probably are), cold damage would bother you. Elves have a natural affinity to magic. Would be fun though.
I am a Nord and I find the passives to be fine. I am very happy with a boost to health and less damage taken.

you know ill burst you down before you even notice your passives working??
also if you dont pvp than your opinion is rendered moot...pve is quite easy and bassically any race/class combo works for bassically everything
