✭✭✭✭If youre a Stam DK the bow will work nicely from the middle of larger groups or when youre on top of a wall/assaulting a Keep. Its not the best skill line but it allows an otherwise Melee character the ability to reach out and touch someone. There are a lot of people on the forums here with a hatred for the skill line. But you should take that with a grain of salt. Its quite effective if you know when to use it.
If youre a Magicka DK. At level 16 there's plenty of Dragonknight goodness you probably haven't unlocked. Same for your weapon but there might be a way to turn your build into a quagmire generator. There's a bow attack that immobilizes enemies and DK has root spamming capabilities. Hitting foes with a mix of stamina and magicka based attacks to keep them immobilized while you hit them with moderate damage might work out.

I was hoping the bow could compliment my two handed sword or dual wield...
so, is it advisable to re-dump all of my points from stamina into magic and go destruction staff? If I did that, what armor would I want? Would I want to dump werewolf and be a vamp? and what would I want my #2 bar to look like if my #1 was Staff?
I would like to be useful or more powerful in PVP.0 -

✭✭✭In all fairness all level 16 hybrid builds suck.
It certainly does not hurt to experiment and level up skill lines and find your favored playing style.
That being said, dunmer + DK does rather beg to be a magicka-based fire mage. This works perfectly well with swords nowadays.
Notably once you make some friends who'll make you Set gear of decent quality you will find the content much easier to handle. Take your time and enjoy your introduction to Tamriel because it only gets (much) easier from here.0 -

& like others have said, hybrids are challenging...
at lvl 16 all of us hybrids are a little pink and squishy.
have some filled soul gems and practice killing more often than getting killed

✭✭Think his 39 prismatic bow is the reward from FG Quest line still, Hakejo is the rune for crafting the Glyph that makes prismatic enchantments. 40k a pop at the moment or you sweat sewers out for the MB fight in the centre and hope he drops one. Still that bow will be well under powered for V3PC Master Race

when I say bow is weird for DK, its fine for leveling, but you have better options for dps,tank as a dk. if you wanna roll with that and your comfortable so be it.

Bow is amazing for Dk in pvp. It gives you range options and more importantly major expedition. No way would I drop it on mine0 -

Just two different styles of play.I see what you are saying totally.Another way to go with a DK. I never really have a strategy for playing.Well,until I found the NB recently. Goodness,what a different class to play.. I had no problem wiping out the baddies in Toothmaul Gully,which is level 7,if I remember.I was level 6,and those NBs are great to run with.0 -

actually the prismatic weapon he referrs to is the quest reward of the fighterquest final step wich actually is one the best "drop" weapon until master/mealstrom weapons...spelling and grammar errors are free to be abused

Yup it was the best reward I have gotten since I started playing in the first betas.. My Prismatic Bow does better than any other bow I have run across yet.And I aint giving it up. XD0 -

do not do a hybrid build, respec and choose mag or stam, you will see how that will improve your dps and sustain!!0 -

2 big options...
Stay a STAMINA build. Level up my bow. I have the Level 16 Hircine's Medium armor with the bow perk. Maxed out to Legendary.
I'd probably keep my 2 handed for my second skill line over my dual wield.
...and what Dragon Knight magic to compliment the Bow?
Option 2 ----> Switch my 60+ attribute points from stamina to MAGIC.
Get a Destructo/fire staff
Become a fire Mage
Maybe use ? for my second skill bar
II'll have fun either way - One thing I do know is that I am tired of dying too quickly and inflicting little damage against foes in PVP and dungeons.
People focus the red beam on me and it sucks the life out of me in about 4-6 seconds when I am in Cyrodil.
I am not sure if that is a skill line perk or a vampire skill line perk... either way, it sucks and it's embarrassing to be this helpless.
I don't completely suck in combat - I have been playing elder scrolls games since Morrowwind... I am just EXTREMELY inexperienced with PVP. This is my first PVP ever. I do suck at PVP combat + builds.0
