ESO vs chachachachan!

Black Desert!

Someone has already played this game? I know it has not been released yet, but last year was the CBT1 and I thought that maybe someone here did it and can share with us his impressions.

Personally I'm done with korean style games, with the same classic anime style, with skills full of lights, Aeons, wings in the back and etc. I love more the occident style mmo, like wow or elder scrolls online, that for me, is the kind of game that I love in every sense.

ESO has real good designed medieval armors, the skills don't have too much special effects full of lights everywhere and the atmosphere is like the kind of occident atmosphere. I don't have the impression I'm inside of some kind anime MMO.

From the other side, Black desert offers amazing incredible graphics, I'm stunned! and even if I can steel feel the tipic Naruto, final fantasy style... is like... well is not so much has some Occidente air the game also I think...

The other thing is always the story line, ESO has an incredible story, I love it, I feel it like my style, occident style. The korean, japanese chinese style is always the same, Gaia mother Earth and spiritual, existential stories that you think: What a *** this people smoke.

So if you played Black desert or you are very well informed what can you say?

I don't agreed sorry, I think zinemax should have interest to know what thinks their comunity about a new game that is about to come and that can be a big competition for them.

It can be good way to collect information to know what to expect, what their customers think and maybe take decisions.

Black Desert = F2P Korean game who's owners sold the licence once to someone dodgy, and is basically a cash shop with anime women.

BDO is very different form ESO. I've played the Japan version a bit. Where ESO is a quest-centric "theme park" style mmorpg, BDO is a non quest-centric sandboxish mmorpg.

IN BDO, at level 50 there is world pvp everywhere except towns. There is also territory control. When guilds own areas they can tax those areas. BDO is a crafter's wet dream as well. Everything from furniture, to boats, to gear, horse and pet breading, and trade between cities.

I'm a huge fan of ESO's combat system, but BDO's is very unique and feels good. I still give the edge to ESO here, for now.

Black desert is NOT a eso killer at least not at the moment.

Black desert has it's own strength and weaknesses most are illustrated in the video.

However compared directly to ESO.

- Black desert has Zero endgame PvE content.
- Endgame in BDO seems entirely PvP orientated right now. Which is actually REALLY REALLY GREAT.
- BDO is EXTREMELY easy, there is literally no combat challenge in pve at all. It's more of a exploration and relaxing game.
- BDO has built in alot of QoL stuff that ESO should have like housing and auto-pathing right out of the gate.
- BDO combat system is better than ESO's, its like they copied eso's system and improved upon it.

The list continues and i could say more but i feel this isn't really the right place.

My last thoughts is, i think BDO is nice filler when im not doing Endgame PvE stuff in ESO. Having 4 x V16's now there isn't anything left for me to do in ESO, so i am hungry for more content or change. BDO might be that but i can already see BDO has issues as well.

oh something i wanted to add... If BDO does get endgame pve content in order then eso might suddenly find itself in a losing position. Right now they are still like comparing apples and oranges.

F2P and no endgame PvE content seems like a scarecrow to me.

Character creation seemed very nice though, and I hope the game succeeds ...I just doubt many TES players will even give it as much of try.

it is F2P in korea only.. the Dev team said that it will be B2P with cosmetic Cash shop things in the West (here).

Basically the exact same business model that ESO is currently using.

I just downloaded a tool that is in internet, that is ony for character creation. I was building a few characters and I realize that in youtube looks more awesome that it really is.

In the end the aspect is like always some kind of anime comic character.

Didn't liked too much... but the graphics I have to say, they were looking really good, amazing. ESO is more like minecraft compared to BDO.

But let's see... maybe I'm gonna test it to confirm my theory that anyways I don't like.

Is a shame that zinemax did not a game so alive like DBO, they should feel ashame that koreans without no founds and with a game title, that nobody knows from where it comes from, (when we compare it to the "Elders Scrolls" title), did such an incredible job... is really to envy.
