Morkuldin set....

both sets give 299(legendary), 289( epic), thats why i like the sets, dont even need to max out every piece to get 97% of the benefit.

D'oh. I had Hunding's internalized as 300. They're both good sets, though really generic, in my opinion. Sort of a, "I don't know what I'm doing with this build" thing.

I do find it odd that it seems every new set is coming at 6+ traits at the moment even things like armor master etc. yet these are meant to be areas you can visit at any level and is not a linear progression thing. seems a little juxtaposed when even the mediocre sets are behind high trait requirements.

Noble's Conquest is 5 traits and Trial by Fire is 3. Unless I've been deceived.

To be fair, the 7+ sets have always been kinda iffy. There's a few that see some use, but the time investment just isn't worth the payoff. At least in my opinion.
all this stam magicka set comparison stuff and no one mentions the torugs pact two piece?
every body wants to be a unique snow flake and stop making every class like every other class, but then wants every set to come in magicka and stam versions...

Because snowflakes. To be fair, like I said earlier, Hunding's is a nice vanilla stam set. So it is convenient to see a Magicka version.

Morkuldin is a cool set, it might not be the best thing ever but I like when I'm leveling new alts.

Um. You have room for new alts?

I just deleted a mule to create my seventh char! He's going to be an altmer sorcerer :D

Before or after they announced we'd be able to get more character slots?

After. I didn't need that mule.

Another option is to use 1pc Molag Kena, 3 piece Night's Silence. You'll get the same bonus as 4pc Morkuldin or Shield Breaker. Morkuldin 5pc is very underwhelming. If I were going after a 9 trait set. Twice Born Star at least will give more tangible flat stat increases. Which in many cases are more effective than random procs.

So i really need to have 9 traits to be able to use the new best stamina gear?

Haven't played for a few months but i'm pretty sure thats going to take a while.

To be honest, Morkuldin is not a good set. It is decent, but the five piece sucks. If you want a crafted set for a stam toon which is easy to come by and has been good since launch then pick Hunding's.

On a sidenote, there is nothing wrong with having good gear being locked behind progression mechanics like x amount of traits needed. If everything was available to everyone at the start of the game without any need for progression and work/grinding, then nobody would play the game because there would be nothing to work towards.

You can find crafters who will do it for free for you if you supply the materials, just give them a nice juicy tip for taking up their time and their happy.

well when u say best stamina set u give people other impressions than what ur build needs. also just ask some1 to craft it for you. lots of people can

on ps4? it takes months for 9 traits doesn't it.

there are plenty of people that can craft 9 triats. You just have to ask and look around for them or post on a trading community. But from everyone I have talked to the Morkaldon set is not that great, just fun to play around with. stick with Hundings and either ashen grip or night mother- ashen grip for more straight damage, or nightmother for more crit chance

Twice Born is a set I really want to like. It's just the extra standing stone bonus is so small in comparison to having a dedicated set. I kinda think it's major payoff is in some hybrid build that I never quite found.

That said, Night's Silence is still a very good bread and butter set for a non-vampire stealth build.

its not the new best stamina set

Well, it's the best combination set (replacing Ashen grip, which used to be the best combination set).
