Game has began to be very slow loading.

Has anyone else noticed that the game has started to load VERY slow at loading in most areas? It seems to have started after the last big patch. This is becoming very tiresome, I have filed tickets and even tried to chat about the problem. No response on my questions. I would think they would like to keep the paying customers in game, but I am now thinking I may be very wrong on that point.

I have the same issue. And it's not just areas...
When I go into addon settings everything lags when loading the settings pages.
When I move fast (have maxed out movememtn speed on mounts) then the graphics loads so slow that I end up with load screens...
When monitoring the load on my hardware while the game is running I get these results:
    CPU: NEVER above 35% usage.
    RAM: NEVER above 40% usage.
HDD read speeds: Never above 5% usage.
    GPU: NEVER above 60% usage.

It is NOT my internet speed or ISP that is the cause.
    Latest speedtest.net result:

    PC Specs:
    OS: Windows 10 Pro x64
CPU: AMD FX8150 Black Edition 8 cores @3.6GHz.
    RAM: 16GB DDR3
HDD: Samsung EVO 840 PRO 1TB SSD
    GFX: Club3D HD7970 RoyalAce Edition

Odd, that nobody else replies here, as I have talked to others that have issues with slow game as well...

Still nothing??? Not even from developers?
I included a few screenshots to prove my issues.
With the first two ones, I was on my mount, and got off it just outside the smithy.
There is actually TEN SECONDS between the two screenshots, as it DID take 10 seconds to load the graphics!!!
They were linked in the wrong order though.
The last one shows me when I move too fast into an area with many players. I sometimes have to wait 20-30 seconds before I see more than just black silhouets!
I also often get a load screen when sprinting on my mounts (max movement speed).

    Please, PLEASE fix this!!!

Likewise, its been happening since friday the 8th for me. Assets/Textures load in ultra slowly. and even the Audio is not synched from NPC conversations. and as you say move around an area to fast loading screens pop up. I know its not my PC cause no other games are doing this. There is also the insane Latency and drag through the dirt low FPS. My normal Lat is less then 100, and I run about 30-40 fps normally at Ultra High so something at ZOS needs to be looked into.

I'm experiencing the same issues. I am hitting loading screens just walking out in the world, for example, I begin crossing a bridge in Stonefalls, hit a 45-60 second loading screen, I then cross to the end of the bridge and enter another loading screen not more than 5 seconds later.

Also NPCs are invisible as well. I participated in a dolmen last night and I could not see a single enemy the whole time, only the particle effects of their attacks. Quest giver NPCs take 10-20 seconds to become visible once I enter the range of their arrow icons on the directional UI bar at the top of the screen. The art files for the maps are also not loading when I interact with a wayshrine, I can only see the icons for other wayshrines in the interface.

I even went as far as uninstalling and reinstalling the game last night, and I'm still having the same issues, with not a single add-on installed into the game right now.

This extra poor performance for me seems to have arisen after that server crash on Sunday night (January 19) and is really making the game unplayable.

I seriously hope thye will release the 64 bit client VERY soon, and that will solve the issues, although I think it's deeper than that.
The game is simply WAY too slow at reading from the harddrive/SSD for some reason.
Although this is the only game where I have this issue, then I wonder if it's a Windows 10 specific problem.
I can't say for sure as I seem to be the only one who added system specs so far.

If developers need any testing and/or further info then they are VERY welcome to contact me.

Have people that have been reporting slow loading (especially asset loading, such as textures, models, etc) have their threading values changed/tweaked?

    A common tweak around the net for helping alleviate town/city fps dips/stutter (which stems from streaming probs, along with core:core interaction, and threading problems), is changing;

    SET RequestedNumJobThreads "-1"
    SET RequestedNumWorkerThreads "-1"

    To

    SET RequestedNumJobThreads "0"
    SET RequestedNumWorkerThreads "0"

While this does indeed 'work' to some extent. It also has the side-effect of firstly (obviously) disabling various process threading. Which is what may be causing some of these issues. Or at the very least making them worse.

From my testing, disabling the worker threading does stabilize fps in towns, and such. But it also drastically increases loading times, also for assets loading/streaming.

My CPU (3770k @ 4.4Ghz). With a fresh login, inside of a city: RequestedNumWorkerThreads set to -1 (auto) took about 1 second to load all of the npcs around me. With RequestedNumWorkerThreads set to 0, it took over 8 seconds to load the same npcs, in the same spot.

The actual loading screens may also be affected by this. But mainly, if people are running laptops, they have notoriously slow hdds (typically 5400rpm). Although I do get some slow loading screens, myself. Even on an SSD.

Side note: if people want to remove those temporary black models (the placeholder ones that are used while waiting for the full models to load) you can use the tweaks below. (inside Docs\ESO\...UserSettings file)

SET PlayerStandInsEnabled.2 "0" <- setting this to 0 turns off the black models. It will go back to default, where it shows no models until they are loaded.
SET PlayerStandInsMaxPerFrame "8" <- this setting dictates the max amount of black filler models allowed.

I can't say what others have done, but I even uninstalled ESO and wiped the entire ESO folder from my documents folder including addons to make sure I had nothing left. After a fresh reinstall I STILL have the same issues.
Besides, the only value I ever changed was the LUA memory.
To make sure, I just checked my UserSettings.txt:
    SET RequestedNumJobThreads "-1"
    SET RequestedNumWorkerThreads "-1"
    ...

I guess, it has to be patch related then. I think people who've noticed this should probably submit a bug report on it, from in-game.

While what I said above still stands. I had a further look into this, myself. And I can also confirm some of the problems. Such as the NPC dialogue voicing has become desynced from the lip movements. Which was not like this before recently.
