Graphics Bug Following Error 11

Silica.Kun
Hello everyone! I first want to start off with an issue I've been having relating to the games graphic/video settings. Error 11 has been one of my worst errors I've ever encountered anywhere on any game. Sometimes repair works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes reinstalling works, sometimes it doesn't.

I've played ESO here and there reinstalling a few times but I usually always get Error 11 after an install. I always find (and forget) a way to fix it but there has lately been a very annoying bug that should be looked into. For me it seems to always follow Error 11. I start up ESO, login, and the load screen literally takes about 2-4 hours. After I get past the character select screen, another long load screen which I can not get out of. The only way I can fix it is by lowering my graphics to the lowest possible setting. If I set it to low or medium, another long loading screen.

As the week goes on I am slowly able to fix it by increasing the graphics once every 2 days and it eventually fixes itself. I just find the bug very annoying. Any faster fix?

What video card do you have?

If you have a true 3D video card, and a CPU with built in graphics, is the card or the CPU providing the graphics processing? You can force the issue in either Power Options or the control panel for the video card (or both, probably)

@Nestor I have an AMD A6-6400K APU with Radeon HD Graphics R7 (2 CPUs) ~3.9GHz

The R7 should run the game, I was running it on a card that is basically the same thing.

This thread has a ZOS response with something to try, ignore the Repair one as you have tried that

Things to try in order of possible success:

One thing to check, in power options do you have the system set to High Performance so it should use the 3D card? It may be the system is starting the game out on the CPU but not switching to the GPU card.

Running the game as an Administrator

Launching the game from EXE, not the Launcher (make a shortcut to the exe)

If this is a desktop, check to see if the extra power connectors to the card are fully seated, and the card itself is fully seated in the slot.

Make sure your drivers are up to date for the video card, although I was using fairly old drivers on my card at the time.

Reinstall DirectX using the Redistributable (about a 350MB download, not the Installer that pulls the files) I think you can even find this on the disk, but better to get it from Microsoft's website.

As for the login thing, if it takes a while to login the first time, do the login triple step:
    1. Try to login, takes more than 10 to 20 seconds to get to character screen, cancel it
    2. Try to login again, you get an immediate error message (you want this to happen)
    3. Try to login a third time, you will have success
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    @Nestor hmm I reinstalled and I didn't see usersettings.txt so I made a new one and put it in my documents folder. ESO is crashing on start ;w;

    Hi @Silica.Kun !

Error 11 happens when game files are corrupt. Our solution is to run a repair on your launcher, but you may want to have an agent take a look at your system to if there's something that may be causing the corrupt files. You can submit a ticket at https://help.elderscrollsonline.com

If the answer you receive when you submit your ticket doesn't resolve your issue, please be sure to reply so an agent can take a closer look!
