If by same area you mean same server then, yes, there are too many people on the server.

In Azura's star you could be out miles in the wilderness attempting to kill a Zombie and it could take 5 mins with the delays. @ZOS seem to think that moving people into towns, away from bunches will fix anything, I don't think this to be the case, I understand that when people are bunched the amount of AOE's and ticks puts a heavier load on the server so to combat this they will 'attempt' to lower the amount of ticks that spells and abilities do. But I can not see this being successful. Even if they managed to half the amount of ticks and data traffic on the server, we will still see massive delays and ridiculous FPS drops. I know this because it's an absolute givin that during prime time I will see my FPS drop to a full second, with only 1 in 5 of my abilities registering server side. So by halving the ticks are we saying that 1/2 a second FPS is more acceptable, 1 in 2.5 abilities registering, to be of relative "quality". Not to mention that only about 1 in 10 abilities are even visible currently.....

When can we expect some actual, genuine attempt at making Cyrodiil a fun place to play. IMO it is about time ZOS cut the amount of players allowed in Azura's star and spread them out amongst the other underpopulated campaigns. At least until they can increase the population again after adjusting the data ticks.

What do others think, is it about time ZOS made a real effort in addressing Cyrodiil PvP??

    I played in Azura some nights ago, and I had like 3-5min+ loading screens at using shrines + some random near keeps. I got killed outside of Nikel, and when I spawned at a keep, I sometimes rode all the way back up to Nikel Outpost, instead of using the transit shrine. The loading screens were simply too horrible.

    Beside all that, rubberbanding, lag, horrible fps, in combat due to healing bug, I sometimes died instantly on my screen and my death recap showed something completely different.
    -I also got the joy of running around + cast skills while being dead - my screen was even blue and I finelly dropped dead on the ground after 4-5 skills casted.

    I don't pvp much, but I really gained sympathy for all the QQ on the forums, after that one night.....

    I believe City Capture and capturable IC districts will help to spread out zergs. Alonside with unpurgable sieges. And 64-bit client should help a lot too.

    How? Will any of this reduce the server load?! Because I fail to see how it will.

    When ic changes will come, we will see although i dont see how it could help. Im sure that 64 client wont help at all with server side lag though. Its not a miracle drug that will suddenly heall all problems - it will simply allow for more memory usage.

    But i wish i was wrong.

    Your frames per second drop to a full second? Are you confusing lag and hardware performance? Can you even see your FPS in a PS4?

    And half a second FPS? Are you NUTS? 30 FPS is bad, 15 fps is horrible... 2 FPS is a SLIDESHOW.

    Yes, it is a complete slideshow during peak hours.

    Playing ESO on my AMD computer is hard, i can play Witcher 3 on Ultra graphical settings but when zergs begin to run in eso visual effects screw my game and i just playing with black figures everywhere or even without textures/visible players and those annoying load screens even on low quality graphical settings. 64-bit i hope will help to multi-core computers.
    Server lags and etc.: responsibilty for this taking server calculations. Most heavy lags oocure coz people stacking and ruining it by spamming aoe in 5 square meters(purge spamming train is killing sever very hard). If people will have anything to do except "stack 24-men zerg - go capture keep A, B, C", zergs will be less problem, trains will hopefull spread out so lags hopefully will be less. At least i trying to stay positive about it.
    And they said something about engine changes long time ago, hopefully it will help too.

    Meh, they probably know what the main problem with lag is, but are unwilling to fix it. Could be due to money issues in hiring people to change the base codes or it could be that they are stubborn and refuse to go back on their previous decisions. Either way, the lag is a feature now, it's what you come to ESO for and it's what ESO is now famous for.

    My advice is to check who's in charge of the ESO project and do your research on any up and coming games. If the same guy is in charge, avoid it like the plague.
