Whats up with the low pop bonuses?

DC and AD have the same population right now in TB

AD has half the resources we do and is getting 350 points per tick compared to the 136 that DC is getting.

Makes absolutely no sense.

Super lame. It's hurting the spirit of competition. They recieved 1200 points from 2 600 point ticks last week and a smaller 400 I think aswell. super lame. DC NEVER gets it....

You do realize while the bars might be the same that doesn't mean the same population? Pop could actually be still very different. In addition, the way they calculate it takes into account previous times so while when you look it might be more close to even, the last hour it might have been drastically different.

I've heard pop caps are 100.

if they are showing the same population the difference won't be that "drastic".

And even so, a 20 Population difference doesn't constitute a 300 point bonus per hour. LOL

Edit: Also, Why does DC get 0 pop bonus? EP is perma locked.... and we get nothing, not once have we gotten a Low pop bonus.

IF low pop bonus made sense, DC would have it regularly... End of story

Lol, I'd love to hear where you came up with the 100 number, no way that is anywhere close to true. Given that Zeni specifically has not told us the actual cap and I have for sure seen way more than 100 on every side... I'm gonna say you pulled that number out of your rear end and are full of it.

K so Make it 200 or 300. Doesn't change the point does it?

I get that the low pop bonus is frustrating and I don't really like it, but it does level the playing field a bit, keeps things challenging, and keeps people coming back to campaign because they may have a fighting chance.

What I do not understand is why only the population that is homed in that campaign counts towards the low population bonus (or so I've heard again and again). People know they can get a huge bonus and still take the map if they just recruit in other campaigns and have a bunch of their friends guest in your home server.

Last week I started playing and we had been freshly pushed back to our gates. My group pushed through a group of about 40 DC, slipped by another group of about 25 or so, then ran to defend our last held emp keep. When we got there we saw a group of a good 100-150 DC (hard to tell when there are so many) pounding on the front door. All the while they were getting the population bonus.

I mean, I'm impressed people have that many friends and I do love the challenge that presents to fight against so many odds, but it doesn't make sense that they would have so many online and get a low pop bonus.

I know you probably get a million messages a day, and I apologize but here is one more @ZOS_BrianWheeler. Do guests really not count towards the low pop bonus and can we get this changed?

My assumption has been that the low pop bonus is based on the average population of a faction and not the population at any given moment. So a faction with a low population over the length of the campaign may receive the bonus even if it is poplocked at that particular moment.

Haha yep, didn't realize that until you pointed it out. I forgot we are now in 2016...that's embarrassing. Still wanted to post that somewhere though and this seemed like the most likely place.

Does anyone have screenshots supporting any claim that the cap per alliance is over 100? I suspect that it is lower than that.

Two days ago I tagged 90 people at an outpost, posted my parse but I don't know if anyone got a screenie of it. I'd estimate about 150-200 per alliance because you have to take the AFKers and sewer rats into account as well.

Well, no screenshot and pretending that there are more than five players in IC and more than five afk players, certainly proves that the pop cap is 500 without any doubt.
