I dont care about the money I wasted on buying him the game he is my best friend i played round about 2000 hours with him in Leage of Legends so the money I invested in the game for the try to convince him to play it isnt that hard for me. Its more about the way he thinks: I have the better MMO so go and play mine! instead of test bouth and play the one that makes more fun at all.NewBlacksmurf wrote: »In the future, I'd suggest to not ever buy someone else something to convince them to enjoy it with you. Perhaps treat the account as an offer for other friend to play with you but you run the account (if that's within our rights per ZOS)
We re bouth in school we play round about 7 hours after school so time isnt the problem here. But i understand what you are talking about TES is one of my favourit gaming lore!Getting someone to start a new MMO can be tough, especially as you have more responsibilities (job, kids, family, house, etc). It's no doubt a time investment. I typically can only play 1 or 2 games at a time effectively.

I can't believe i do this, but I worry that the constant negativity on the ZOS forums scares away new players.
I sure hope it doesn't, because this is a great game with a great future.
Thank you very much! I will try it on monday!I think I can help...
1. Invite friend over after school to just hang out; don't mention any games specifically, at this stage you nust want to get friend in the house.
2. Load up your friend's favorite game and make some snacks.
3. While friend is distracted by the pretty lights of his favorite game, pour some ether into a cloth (becareful of dosage).
4. Apply cloth to distracted friend'd mouth and nose; apply until friend is subdued.
5. Tie friend to chair and tape eyelids open, brace head so it faces TV or Monitor; if friend hurt you in struggle with ether rag, you could always shave eyelids off.
6. Remove friend's favorite game.
7. Start ESO, ensure you watch all opening cinematics.
8. Marathon play ESO until your friend breaks and can think of nothing beyond ESO.

Agreed, this is a great idea too!Asherons_Call wrote: »Get him to come over to your house so he can watch you play. Show him the ropes. Make sure to go to some of the more scenic locals. Stay away from the spam of the starter zones. Lol
If your friend makes up his mind about things without trying them or researching them, and then refuses to listen to anything people who have tried them say... Then he's the type of person who's not worth trying to convince of anything. Frankly, if it was me I wouldn't be friends with him at all, because I can't stand dealing with such closed-minded people.

Then Say something like "Lets play Bro".
Then play the game while he watches.
Anyway, I've learned my lesson about trying to pull someone away from a game they already enjoy.
