They could also patch content before they released it, but the Bethesda staff seem to be adrenaline junkies and like nothing more than putting defective content into the wild then rushing to fix it. Oblivion...fallout 3...new Vegas...skyrim...ESO...seeing a pattern emerge.

Yes, but most of them make sure they didn't unfinished work and projects left on the table during that period.

It's an MMO... it will always be unfinished!
And back to the OP... they do patch regularly... usually every week or two, and some do have bigger changes, other smaller changes. They covered off why they don't do 100's of smaller hotfixes all the time in a previous ESO live.... something to do with having to create a whole new build each time & it being inefficient & having a bigger knock on effect on the overall dev schedule.
If they keep to the 1 DLC every quarter then that seems pretty reasonable for major changes.
If you were to have big patches every week then it would be impossible to balance, tweak, and evaluate the results of those changes. Once every 12 weeks feels pretty ok when looking at the big picture. (As much as all of us, me included, want everything done yesterday!
Your logic is flawed, please reverse the polarity of the neutron flow. They don't only release big updates when they release DLC, they only release DLC when they release big updates.chaosguy67 wrote: »Im not sure if anyone at the company knows this judging by how every big update only releases when a new DLC releases...
