please put Gold in crown shop for purchase

I do agree that pvp can have hard time making gold.
Emphasis on can. There are ways to make gold and reduce the gold you spend with crafting.

However, gold from the crown store is an absolutely terrible idea... Think of what it would do to the I game Economy, inflation would be ridiculous.remember that, the more gold is around, the less it's worth. This would end up being bad for your real life wallet too.

But there should be a way to turn better profits from pure pvp.

I would quit if that ever happened. Not just rage quit, and come back later. Really quit.

Edit: was that person serious, or did I get suckered in by a troll?

    Great idea.

I hope this guy is trolling. This is like the definition of P2W.

But if we could simply call this "convenience", I would find it very "convenient" if zos would also add all gear in the best traits to the crown store and ofcourse fully levelled and geared v16 characters. An instakill button for pvp would also be great! I vould do all those things, but I just don't have the time to do it. Oh, maybe we should also add a crown store bot that plays for me! Cause you can't expect me to have time to play this game.

    All for convenience, amirite?

*refrains from saying things that'd get me permabanned* :p

1 million gold is meaningless if everyone got 1 million gold each, because the price of items will inflate in response to an increased gold supply but finite quantity of stuff to buy. Basic supply and demand economics here...

If you want to be able to buy 1 million gold, but the (real money) cost is so high that the vast majority of people cannot afford it, then it means buying a significant advantage over other people since gold can be used to buy gear, potions etc... and that is certainly not a convenience issue. That is P2W plain and simple.

It's like saying putting Maelstorm weapons in the crown store is a convenience issue because it saves him the inconvenience of learning to beat vMA.

Ideally nothing in the crown store should affect performance. Zenimax already blurs the lines with potions and other consumables, but nothing major so far. Do not push them further in that direction that would result in the end of ESO.

ever since beta i have struggled to get ahead and have some decent gold in my account in eso.
when imperial city released i was able to turn a profit of about 500,000 gold but since then due to tri-pots and upgrades and food purchases on a daily basis just basic needs of surviving in cryodiil. it has now brought me back to an empty pocket and normal low income.
i would like to have atleast 1 million gold reserved for when the housing is released. i dont do well in trading guilds and i dont do any of the things suggested to get rich by others here on the forums because i want to pvp in cryodiil and not do anything else.

So, my request is quite simple:

please zenimax, please put a section in the crown shop where i can purchase Gold for ingaame in eso, so i can do well and survive the daily needs of living in elderscrolls online.

thank you for taking the time to read this.
    enjoy your day.

Bolded for emphasis. There's a lot to unpack there. You specifically know exactly what you need to do, but are refusing to do so, and asking for an easy "i win" button. I'd be inclined to forgive you if you just didnt know how to make gold, but you're outright refusing to do anything, you want it handed to you. If you are spending that much to survive in PVP, you either need to look at your build or seriously invest time in things like crafting or cooking in order to finance your PVP. That financing is part of the PVP if you can't afford to buy the things you supposedly need, then you suffer in PVP thus giving you the excuse and motivation you need to learn. I personally have spent Alliance points buying some food from siege merchants, is it the best? no... but I get plenty of AP from PVPing so it's more or less a write-off. Theres no reason this type of thing should ever be added to the crown store it would kill the in-game economy, and kill the game in general, it would open up a pandora's box where people start to ask to pay for skill lines... it's a slippery slope the community doesn't need when all you need to do is learn how to cook or craft.

People keep talking about it being p2w or not and are missing the BIG issue which was already brought up... it WILL destroy the economy.... you complain about your triple potion materials now... just wait when the price skyrockets because you wanted the convenience of buying gold...

it will happen, it is the reason chinese gold farmers are hated so much... they kill the market to sell real world gold.. and even though they wouldnt be influencing the guild traders with this crown store idea - people would charge more because gold would deflate in value... thus you would be spending MORE real world money just to buy the thing you wanted in the first place..

The issue with this is that most consumables already have a crown store equivalent, so it's like paying crowns to buy gold to buy things, when you can skip a step and just buy what you need with crowns.

I'd rather have a drink of increased speechcraft which helps you sell items for 50% more gold. Then make a crown store equivalent. Easy solution to a controversial topic.

I can't get on board to ideas that don't improve the game... Zennimax has been getting a huge surplus of income (I know because I have personally dumped my fair share into them) and yet they run like 3 people are actually working around here... with 2 being those people from the ESO live casts..

so putting this in game to minimize a players play time (to grind for gold) with the mindset it will help is shameful... There needs to be a reward/payment system in this game and to get your gold you need to invest the time.. while real world money in theory is suppose to help zenimax and you... I fear it only helps them, to not help us in the long run..

So when you go looking for the newest weapon and it turns out to be 2.8 mill gold (due to the inflation), which, you end up having to buy say 40 dollars worth of crowns to get 3 mill gold just to afford it... you don't see an issue with that? What about people who play that don't have a reliable means to get crowns? are they just out of luck on all the latest gear unless they spend hours with the sh**ty RNG system? This is not a "convenience" it's a huge hindrance.

I've been playing since xbox launch and have easilly earned and spent 2 million gold. I have over half a mil right now.

Why are you spending money on pots and food? Just learn to craft them yourself. Except repairs and horse training, I probably haven't bought anything in well over a month. I can just do everything myself.

im still trying to figure out what I can spend gold on in this game. the good stuff is AP or BOP. how is selling gold P2W exactly?

Because people with more money in real life buy more gold. They can then go and buy all their 16 mats, buy upgrade materials and buy the best runes or Glyphs so they have the best stats they can get. They can buy hundreds of wall repair kits to turn into ap which unlocks pvp skills and passives.

All the while, people who can't afford crown store gold are left lagging behind.

They're paying for stuff that increases their chance of winning.

    Great idea.

Gold purchasable through the crown store can be used to purchase the gear or materials needed for end-game content, regardless of pvp or pve. Anything that you can purchase with real money that makes your character competitive with everyone else is pay to win.

It is no where near as bad as it could be if there was a means to use real money to buy gold. While I've seen some things being sold for more it was never such a high amount that it felt unobtainable IF the route you wanted to take was to buy it from a guild trader. Most of those things are VR16 gear, which by VR16 you really should find yourself a nice guild that has their own crafters to get things at a discount or at the very least collect the mats with you. I have 2 guilds on my list just for this purpose.

I can now see how this is pay to win. So i will settle for potions or scrolls that give me 70% more gold from all sources. Pick up 100 gold, poof it is 170 gold. Sell something for 100k at the guild vendor. poof it is 170k.

No different then the 70% exp boost paying people can get. Since obviously that isnt pay to win. It is just convience.

What are you spending so much gold on if all you do is pvp?

I could live in pvp forever and not spend more than I make. You don't have to pay for repairs, and you can buy literally all of your consumables with crowns or AP already. I really want to know, what's costing you so much?

I do both forms of content on 3 different toons regularly. I spend virtually nothing when I pvp, for the aforementioned reasons. When I pve, like vMA, I spend tens of thousands on repairs alone, plus going in with enough food and potions (good potions, mind you) to reach the end. The sad part is, in pvp I get so much AP I can turn that into gold by selling Akaviri motifs, and sometimes random "junk" that other people want, including the rewards for the worthy. Go spend one full week doing nothing but pve content, and tell me if any of the 3 BoE items you pick up sells.

There's a huge difference between someone getting to VR16 faster than you, and someone taking control of the entire market. Me getting to VR16 doesn't affect YOUR game. you level at your own pace. However, any monetary gain effects the marketplace, guild vendor prices, etc. So now the equipment YOU need is two or three times more expensive since theres SOOOO much gold out there. Also as a side note, a potion that gifted you an additional 70% is MEGA exploitable. I sell item in guild trader to a friend, for 100k, make 170k, he sells it for 170K, I buy it, he (with the potion) makes what? 289k? (I'm bad at math) and on it goes....

No gold buying no sir... if they implement it. I'm gone. I am already irk by things that I took for granted in normal Elder Scrolls game that are not in the online portion. I.E. endless bank space at my player home. I rather they stick to cosmetics. Hopefully when they add player housing they'll get plenty of money from selling housing styles, furnitures interiors design... heck if they do a Pocket Plane of Oblivion then they can add landscape designs and sky cosmetics.
