The Gold Coast Region of Cyrodiil should be PVP

@Zenimax,

You promised us that ALL of Cyrodiil would be a PVP zone. With your update to the Gold Coast your planning on releasing, you are literally handing Half of Cyrodiil over to PVE'ers.

Your handing over the Gold Coast, Skingrad, Kvatch, Anvil, and the entire West Weald portion of Cyrodiil over to PVE players, this is a flatout betrayal. This is nearly half of the Cyrodiil province!!! In the same token, you announce your scraping your PVP justice system enforcer system. This is one of the richest areas in Cyrodiil its insane to think the 3 Alliance's wouldn't be fighting over this area. Your destroying your own lore if you don't make this zone a PVP zone

Look, i can live with the whole justice system thing, but us PVP folks have "1 zone" in the entire game that is ours (Cyrodiil) and it shouldn't be farmed out to PVE players, PVE players have got every other zone in this game, us PVP players have one...Cyrodiil, can we at least keep that consistent?

    Lets see. The Gold Coast will be part of the Dark Brotherhood. it will be a relatively small area compared to Cyrodiil proper. If it was made into a PvP zone they would need a lot of different campaigns to try and fit players from all three factions in and the lag would be horrific, even worse than it currently is in Cyrodiil.

    Lets see. The Gold Coast will be part of the Dark Brotherhood. it will be a relatively small area compared to Cyrodiil proper. If it was made into a PvP zone they would need a lot of different campaigns to try and fit players from all three factions in and the lag would be horrific, even worse than it currently is in Cyrodiil.

    It could be own zone separate (From the half of Cyrodiil we have right now)Cyrodiil itself as to not effect the Cyrodiil population, but it being a part of Cyrodiil it should be pvp because of it.

    The Gold Coast area is pretty large if you include those 3 towns and the West Weald area, the Red part i highlighted is pretty close appropriate of how much of Cyrodiil is currently missing from the Cyrodiil in ESO...thats a very large chunk of the province to hand over to pve players....They could add covert missions, and small scale fighting in that zone to help alleviate some of the strain on main Cyrodiil.

    As long as they don't put in anything like Tel Var or AP they can make it very zerg unfriendly. Thats a pretty large chunk of land that they could put some things into to spread the action out more instead of folks just fighting over keeps. There is a lot of potential there, it would be a shame if they hand over half the province to PVE.

    imagine the fights and stuff that could have been done there...fighting over a major port city!

    Sadly i doubt this come to pass, but i atleast wanted to voice my concerns that i hate the fact they are handing over a huge key part of the Cyrodiil province over to PVE. They even turned the Imperial City into a PVE grind zone, its hard to even consider the IPC a pvp update. :(

    As much as I understand your point and have even expected, that the new DLC at the gold coast will be PvP, none of this is "theirs" or "yours" - nothing is handed over, like you put it. I think, ZOS made it so, that everyone can play the DLC content without to have to worry about being ambushed by hardcore PvPers. IC did not sell that well, I guess, and so they make this now PvE.

    Here we go!!!!! This is what i was sorta eluding too.

    It makes sense that DC, EP, or AD would use Dark Brotherhood to carry out assassinations on said alliance as the Dark Brotherhood has no allegiance to any and works for who pays. They could ask to kill 5 players from x faction quest, don't matter who they are, has no AP earning and has nothing to do with the war, its just kinda like side covert missions for the DB :)

    From everything i have read about it, it appears no PVP at all.

    I think @ScruffyWhiskers is one point...just allow the Listener or the Speaker of the DB to give you a quest to kill say 5 players from X Allaince, with it being implied that your faction paid the Brotherhood to do it, and you get the mission. This would be perfect!!!!

    It is not "handed over" it is sold for probably 3-5k crown. They probably realized that their broken sham of a lagfest is not what will keep this game alive or make them much money.

    So...what did you read about it? All I could find is what's included in "The Year Ahead": "The Dark Brotherhood DLC game pack and update will come in the second quarter. It will be set on the Gold Coast of Cyrodiil (around the towns of Anvil and Kvatch), and will contain some new gameplay elements and story content."

    This doesn't say anything about whether it will be PvE or PvP, although since it's part of Cyrodiil the latter seems more logical. Is there anything I missed?

    But who would you get to them if they are in another faction and not in Cyrrodil?

    Well i meant just add it more like a Radiant Quest just kill X amount of players from an enemy faction, doesn't have to be any one in particular, kind alike the bounty quests, but give gold and perhaps other types of rewards instead of AP or Tel Vars. Perhaps so many tokens used to buy something from a DB vendor?

    Also, yes we will probably have a small zone full of players roaming aorund wanting to kill each other in a quest zone, but isn't that what the Dark Brotherhood does...kill people :)

    It's a lore-based technicality. Any time the Empire of Cyrodiil collapses, its constituent parts usually split into the Cyrodilic Heartlands around the Nibenay Valley, and the Colovian Estates. While the rulers of the Colovian Estates may still swear fealty to whoever sits on the Ruby Throne (and some may not), the Estates are not fully considered part of Cyrodiil. So all of Cyrodiil is a PvP zone... but the Gold Coast is not in Cyrodiil right now.

    ZOS should just do PVE and PVP versions of Cyrodil. Then both sides would be happy. PVEer's could do their thing without getting ganked. PVPer's would do their own ganking on players wanting to do PVP.

    There's no reason they couldn't do this. As a PVE/PVPer, there are times when I would like to go do something in a PVP zone and not have to worry about gankers.

    It's my understanding that the Gold Coast was not yet a part of Cyrodiil at this point in the ES timeline.

    PvPers ask for additional, meaningful objectives in Cyrodil.

    ZOS takes what could have been awesome objectives to capture and use them for PvE DLC.

    Hopefully this means some form of PVP. Dark brotherhood without PVP seems like a wasted opportunity. ZOS has only released two DLCs and one of them has had PVP. I have faith.

    I would even be ok with a flag yourself for PVP option. Use the same code as campaign assigning for how often you can flag/unflag and AP costs etc.

    Even make the PVP version as a separate instance so PVE'rs don't have to see the zergs.

    An open world quest zone with PVP and no "take the castle objectives" would be fun and a nice change IMO.

    To make everyone content I think Cyrodiil must be made a PvE zone but it need to be designed from scratch because that area is kinda boring with all that many keeps out there and the vast empty spaces in between. Thing is Cyrodiil wasn't quite the best zone out of Tamriel. Go play TES4 and you will see why. So ditch that... better focus on other zones.

    Next there should be a server where people who want pvp could pvp in every other zone. This way you make everyone happy. Both pvp ers and pve ers.

    Or maybe ZOS have something in the oven for us for sometime in the future like some huge expansion pack with dozens of new solo zones and a new giant pvp zone?

    thing is with a 3way pvp system they gotta keep it symetric,
    yeah they could have made the pvp map look like actual Cyrodiil, but then AD/DC would have had a bigger area compared to EP, or they would have to give EP more land in the east so everybody would have about the same, but then EP would have IC surrounded by 50% or more by default...
