SO Thieve's Guild will be more like the end of Q1 for Q2?

Q1 starts Jan. - March. If the PTS will load TG in Feb. then we really aren't getting TG for Q1, but rather the end of Q1 for Q2.

This is unfortunately a fail from ZOS. There last 2 DLCs were actually released on time and now with 2016 in full swing they are already disappointing with a delayed release of TG DLC and also removal and abandonment of the pvp aspect of the Justice System.

Considering that they promised monthly content updates and a subscription-based game, and long ago offered spellcrafting and Justice PvP then reneged which is simply par for the course now, methinks they're using their tried and true model of diminishing expectations. Cut costs, not increasing quality. Bean counters triumphant without actually accomplishing what they supposedly set out to do, which is to maximize profits.

lol what bizarre logic for deciding it's delayed...

They said it was coming in Q1. March is in Q1. As long as it comes on or before March 31st then it's on schedule.

It's still in the quarter. The DLC isn't "FOR" the quarter... its "WITHIN" the quarter.

With the schedule they've released, it's possible that we could go almost 6 months without a DLC (however unlikely) but let's say they release a DLC at the VERY beginning of quarter 3 (Early July) and then the VERY end of Quarter 4 (Late December). They would still be within the schedule they set.

Of course, the opposite is also true, we could get a DLC and the end of 3rd quarter (late September) and then get a DLC at the beginning of 4th quarter (Early October) but I don't see this ever really happening.

They haven't delayed anything yet. March is Q1, so as long as it releases before April we are still getting it in Q1. There's no getting it "for the quarter", it's one DLC release per quarter (during the quarter).

They gave good reasons for not following through with the PVP portion of the Justice system, as well as explaining why Spellcrafting isn't happening this year. Better do something right (or not at all) than release it to the game and create all sorts of issues.

If they put thieve's guild on PTS during the first few days of february and leave it there for just 2 weeks, we'll get the first 2016 DLC right in the middle of Q1.

Keep in mind that IC and Orsinium were actually sitting on hold for almost a year. They were pretty much ready to go.
If they can keep to the schedule they've set with content from this point on, I'll be happy and maybe even impressed.

If February is PTS then it will release early to mid March for PC and mid to late March for Consoles.

If ZOS sticks to that pattern for the remaining DLC then I see no issues, great work ZOS!

From what I understand, they may actually have only about 3or 4 people who are actually still working on this game. So yes, I would be pretty impressed at this point too. This is all wild speculation combined with weird, unsubstantiated rumors, but given my own experience in working with various game engines/creation kits or just messing around with that kind of stuff, I wouldn't be surprised if this was actually true, if it weren't for the voice actors and localizations. I suspect that is just one part of the hold up.

Yes. Because how dare Zos employees spend Christmas and New Years with their families rather than getting thieves guild ready to go at the start of January.

Orsinium released in November; that's not the beginning of the quarter. Regardless, the length of time these updates have been on the PTS is relatively short. If it's released on PTS in early February, we could see the content release to live by the end of the month.

Wait, I just realized this is a complete lie. The beginning of Q3 (when IC was released) is July. IC was released the last day of August. IC was released 2/3 of the way through the quarter, not at the beginning of the quarter. The beginning of Q4 (when Orsinium was released) is October. Orsinium was released at the beginning of November. Orsinium was released 1/3 of the way through the quarter, not at the beginning of the quarter.
