Was very shocked, to say the least, to get that message from Unruh. When I logged VE was in full swing and I got a text after I logged saying "Just tagged 72 DC at Bleakers...." I laughed to myself and went to bed expecting a DC Emperor when I woke up.
A lot of fun great fights against Crown's group around Roebeck and against CN and VE later that evening.
Great job EP. Very nice to see a map with us owning more than just Kings/Farragut/Arrius.
Congrats @Jules on Empress!
Grats to anyone who can have fun in Azura's lag.
No. You post only in memes. Go back and try again.

We called raid at 10pm MST because I was too tired to take over and didn't feel the obligation to stay up late since the map was in solid blue control and red seemed to be demoralized/logged after being repelled most of the night. Exactly how late was this capped then? If it wasn't immediately after that, well ... nightcaps should never be referred to as 'nice work'. I think almost every azura emp (for all alliances) over the past few weeks has been crowned when there is barely any resistance on, and that's quite sad. You guys got pushed back and lost ales/ash because our raid started up and CN got rolling as well (it looked like harlock was already in play?), that's what the map should look like when there's actual resistance playing.
@Tomato unruh's group plays aggressively and defends keeps even when there isn't an emp push. I very much like that there are other red groups on the map; yes, EP zerged it up for quite a few fights last night, but having other guilds in play increases the chances that red will be somewhere other than a single keep for each fight, and that's a good thing.
@Seraph702 you weren't fighting outnumbered every fight (unless you're talking about when you went to had); in fact there were quite a few where the opposite was true. I recall a particular roe fight where we pulled off a win against you guys + haxus on the U, and then immediately engaged rage at the breach yellow had sieged. Ping was manageable and I was actually able to get my nova off during those fights
I saw Bellakix had been Empress for around 2 hours when I logged on this morning at 4:30am, which would put crowning around 11:30pm PST. 6:30/7:30pm Aussie east coast time.
Usually I consider nightcapping to be around 7am to 11am EST. It's usually the lowest pop time range on the NA servers.
Meh, I'd consider midnight on pst to be well within that window, especially on a Monday, but everyone will have different opinions. Pretty obvious from posts and just from knowing who's on at that time what the resistance was.
Nightcapped emps make me roll my eyes, but when they're still emp come primetime and now an already lag induced campaign has to put up with the stacking shenanigans that come from dethroning and last emp keeps, I get salty, regardless of who is emp. Has anyone had an enjoyable gaming experience when there's an emp still active during primetime and the occasional stretches of lag free play are replaced with crashes and doors start trolling you?
If emp is crowned during primetime, that's on the other two alliances for being terribad, and they deserve to be rekted by emp and lag. I see little positives left in the current emp system, but maybe that's just me.
There's a reason I'll stop playing objectives if we have 4-5 emp keeps and I'm leading, and it's not out of pettiness. My particular build benefits heavily from the emp hp buff, id just rather not risk exacerbating lag the next day because of dethrones (nor do I want to steamroll the map and demoralize people to the point that they leave). Not everyone feels that way though.
Well she was crowned in MY primetime Zheg, if you want me to play at another time, pay my sub. Thanks.

Who cares about campaign wins? You just facetiously told a guy to pay your sub because Australians get off work when Americans are fast asleep. (I don't see anyone salty about the crowning or telling Aussies to *** off.) You definitely need some chill. Let's not turn this thread into salt jousting. Zheg didn't touch your no-no square, there's no need.

I have standards. They're low ones though
Anti was night capped last week, no salt because no thread saying 'good work' for said night cap. Every emp has been night capped for azuras spanning back weeks, it's nothing new, but it shouldn't be encouraged or congratulated. In fact, I'm fairly sure I raged harder at the yellow emp push this weekend early in NA morning than my grumblings about patting oneself on the back for nightcaps in this thread.
Wtb replacement of emp system entirely, but it'll never happen.
We crowned the emp when all factions still had at least three bars. What everyone saw was EP working together! Esp. That last two minutes we had alessia flagged and dc was tryin to take aleswell from us, it was real close. The other factions could have EASILY taken us if they would have worked more together with their respective factions. GJ to the resistance though...gave us a run for our money

Thanks.
Jesus Christ, he's not telling you to log off or even calling you bad. You call other people salty (and I'm sure you imagine that you're right) then you get defensive at the drop of a dime. Chill out.
I'm chill. Very chill! Where did I say someone called me bad? Of course I'm bad, everyone knows this!
There's a lot of hostility in this thread as per usual when EP manages to actually do something. Don't worry, you're still going to win the campaign by a country mile

I think a big part of this thread is that EP actually unified and coordinated to do something. Which is a big step from where we were a bit ago, even if it seems like it was done "wrong" in other factions eyes. Small steps of coordination good.

One Aussie does not a guild push make. And again, I've been pretty clear in each post that my sentiments apply to yellow and blue emps. If you want to read it otherwise, you're entitled to, though incorrect.
There was equal frustration this weekend when we got yellow emps at 7am NA. If blue has an Alma emp during primetime, I'm just as salty because it means everyone is going to stack multiple times to dethrone.
We EASILY could have crowned a blue emp before logging - seems like both hax and dynamic left the campaign or took a long break and yellow had 1-2 keeps total. No emps should be pushed if there is little to no resistance, imo. I'm also of the opinion that no laggy NA primetime should start with an active emp because of the crapstorm it causes. I'm hardly the only one that feels this way, as is evidenced by the multiple threads on the subject on the first page of this forum section, but won't fault you if you share different views.

The communication is a huge step up! You guys killed it last night.Though the prime time pushes were thwarted, they were not in vain! Huge respect to the EP faction for their tactics last night.
The only thing "wrong" about it is that there's a thread patting night cappers on the back. 1-2am EST is no ones prime time, prime time is between 8-11.. it was only ~5pm on the other side of the pond. Unless you guys start prime earlier than us?

@Zheg I did not create this thread to congratulate EP on PvDooring and or Night capping Empress for Jules. I created this topic to congratulate my faction on working together and staying focused throughout the day and night to crown an Empress.
Yesterday was hands down the most fun I've had in Cyrodiil in many months. Latency, during the time I was playing, was low and EP as a faction was working very well together. Jules and all of Haxus have been communicating and supporting EP on Azura's for awhile; it was a blast to be running with Dynamic, while working with Haxus and Invictus in coordinated pushes and defenses. For the first time, since Blackwater Blade was released, I actually felt defeated at the loss of Aleswell to Chuck Norris and swelled with faction pride at stopping VE from insulting me with a prime time front door of Bleakers Outpost.
If those feelings were felt in me, then you know it was being felt in other EP across the map. Which is what you want because that encourages a faction to perform better and provide you a much needed challenge. Which, from another post of a VE member in this thread, sounds like what you all want.
There were a lot of good fights last night that started with Crown's group of Victorem/Rage/Knights of Sarenvog to Chuck Norris and VE. A lot of good fun exciting fights, that I did get my butt handed to me in most, but did win a few key victories.
Overall it was a fun night in Cyrodiil.

That's something I can certainly get behind. It's awesome when opposing alliances coordinate and make you guess which is the real threat when multiple keeps are UA, and/or force you to make a choice and sacrifice one. Not a fan of how the emp was finally crowned (but I've beat that horse dead for every alliance), but I am a fan of the push during primetime you guys made. Pvp is more engaging when opposing alliances play aggressively.PosternHouse wrote: »PosternHouse wrote: »Nice work last night in getting Empress!
Thanks.
I think they should disable emperorship until both of the following criterias are reached :
1) Ping never goes above 300ms for people with average internet connections
2) Emperorship is based more on objectives than straight killing people
