Maw of the Infernal Set

I'm having a lot of fun with this set. I love the reaction it gives pvp-only players that never play undaunted pledges. "Wtf is that Daedroth doing here?"

Question is, does it hinder my dps when I drop a piece of Torug's pact for it?

How much dps will it add to a magicka nb?

Anyone test this before?

Sucks that it does physical damage. When he breathes fire, is that physucal damage as well? The tooltip says nothing about the damage type of his fire, only his basic attack.

I run this set along with sorc pets in pve at times. I call it my zoo build. It is really fun, but as aforementioned, it is a guaranteed dps loss. There isn't much that it brings to the table other than novelty.

I believe Mr. Wrobel said he was going to take a look at upgrading it a bit.

If you wish to increase your damage, this is the wrong set xD

I was so happy when I got that set, but I have never used it. I think the Bogdan set might give slighly less benefits than Maw of The Infernal, but I leave that to the nine divines.. Maw is extremely cool, but a veeeery bad set.

Would be nice to have a greater proc chance coupled with a longer up time on the actual proc and possibly some type of taunt mechanic with the daedra.

I just got the helm with impen the other day, but still haven't picked up the shoulders from pledges. Usually I have tons of shoulders and no helm, gotta love how this game trolls you.

I love this set.. I must have run Banished Cells 50 times before it finally dropped for me. This with all the Sorc pets in PvE is so much fun!

It is decent for DPS in PvE but I certainly don't use it in PvP.. Big guy dies too quick and he often misses with that fire breath attack.

I love Maw but it is one of the worst in the game. Fun to use in PvE, but shouldn't be used for competitive PvE or PvP. Had fun running this in the sewers once, my group members kept trying to attack the daedroth

I'm a healer so I use this set as I don't get much opportunity to do continuous damage. It's great for pugs with bad tanks. If you have a competent group who knows what they are doing in dungeons then it's not worth wearing. In PVP it's 100% useless but fun as a novelty.

If you're a tank or a dps do not use this set.

Agreed. I'm a defensive healer with no real DPS so the little bump I get in offense from it is appreciated, I mostly just use it when i'm doing things i know I can handle either way. It DEFINITELY needs to be reworked though

This set is pretty ok if youre a Templar healer since you'll be heavy attacking for magicka almost 24/7. That being said its been upgraded once but i think it needs a little more. Either raised to 30 second duration, Give it a taunt, Cause it to root its focused target in PVE, AOE taunt, Flame breath AOE stuns who it hits,Cause it to buff anyone near it by taking 50% of damage taken etc. There are a bunch of changes it can take on. Since its a NPC with a health bar i think it would help to let the summon to Soak damage as well as do some. That way it will help anyone.

My personal opinion? leave the damage as is but give it support via Giving anyone within 10m a buff that takes 50% damage for them up untill the spawn dies. ( think like a small AOE ward thats balanced b/c it goes off a HP pool) Just give it like 15k hp or something. Because it will be based off a HP pool raising the duration to 30second should balance it out ( spawning 2 15 second ones will cause double HP shields)

That being said there are like no Support monster sets worth speaking of thats not guardian and because of the shield it will work in PVP. Still worse then guardians set though

Holy **** there's a Daedroth attacking Glademist. But yeah it's just a novelty in it's present form. Viable monster set for Sorc pet builds would be awesome. Allow your summoned pets to do extra damage when the Daedroth is out or something.

That is why I am trying to get the shoulders especially since I weave a lot plus the health will help as well.
