https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPtT84pBTqo I think it would be a good idea, but they would need to keep in a backup plan in case there aren't enough groups to fill the slots such as allowing a rematch in the next arena if no one is cued up for the next round.
If someone is eliminated and reset after a loss (single elimination), well I can't even wake up to do the math this morning, that seems like a lot of matches that have to be in the first round, what like 2 to the 9th which would be 81 teams if he was saying 2 teams per arena. (Correct me on that If I'm wrong, its early)
If you didn't allow rematches when possible you would have to have that many teams for matches going on at the first round for each winner of the 9th.
Edit: small edit on the last sentence.

maybe the teams don't have to be on the same tier then? So if I was on tier 4 i could play a tier 3 and go on to tier 5. That way it would count as getting a number of successive wins against anybody. You lose then you reset. I also think there should be other ways to get the rewards at the end

Steve Jobs was a genius regarding product innovation and a completely horrible person to be around. Not all people with good ideas are perfect role models.

So Sypher is Bill Gates and Deltia is Michael Dell? Got it. Does that mean Brian Wheeler is Alan Turing?
In my opinion, the only time merit trumps a terrible personality is when that person is using that merit to make you money.

Or you can just go and do PvE, and do what you don't want to to get the rewards for that, same thing, really. If you want maelstrom weapons, do it the way it's intended
