I was messing around and noticed this, with dual wield will power axes (3rd piece is necklace) all v16 purple I have 1897 spell damage, then switching over I have a 2h sword of ashen grip v14 blue so I lost the 3pc from will power AND its blue AND V14 and I only went down about 80 spell damage. Must be a bug

sword passive from the 2h and dual wield tree gives an increase in damage(spell and weapon)

If you switch from axes to swords (keeping the Willpower set) and grab the dual wielding passive that boosts damage from swords you might get more spell damage than with a 2-hander. Without taking set bonuses into account, though, 2-h swords have the highest damage.

This is why I'm dual wielding on my Sorc: 3 Willpower accessories, 2x Molag Kena, 5x Julianos. Dual wielding lets me have the 2-piece bonus from Torug's Pact swords, which I'd lose if I went with a 2-handed sword.

Also, consoles don't have a screenshot ability? ;)

There is currently a bug with the spell damage displayed by the UI.

When i am using 4 pieces of Magnus gear(head, shoulder, sword, shield), i have the 3rd bonus active(+spelldmg). When i exchange the sword for another from a different set(but otherwise identical), losing the 3rd Magnus bonus, the displayed spell damage stays the same, instead of going down. The only thing that changed in this scenario is the set bonus.

I checked damage done, and there is a difference, so it appears to be only an UI bug.

Yes but 2 purple v16 weps should equate to a 2h sword in terms of damage, what gets me is the 186 spell damage from willpower set I'm not getting...

All things being equal, 1 two-handed sword has higher damage than 2 one-handed swords, due to the base damage and passives.

The choice between one and the other comes down to whether you need the additional set item. In my case, by using 2 pieces Molag Kena, I need 2 slots to get a bonus from the Torug's Pact set. I know some people run only 1 piece Molag Kena, which allows them to have 1 armour and 1 two-handed sword of Torug's Pact. This will net them more spell damage than my setup *except* when I'm proccing the Kena 2-piece bonus.

Also, in your particular case, there might be a UI bug that's not showing you the correct numbers. Try comparing the tooltip damage from a skill, since you won't have access to actual damage on console. Does the difference remain?
