Vote for Harvester deletion from the game.
I unsubbed twice due to frustration while fighting them. Always have to use every ♥♥♥♥ I can imagine to fight them including my my fancy DK banner.
The stun sucks, the heal sucks and their dmg sucks. They are plain and ridicilous OP.
And please don't come with some ideas like "use Desto or Bow" when none of these weapons are leveld over 10.
I don't often fight harvesters, but when I do, I AOE those little orbs.
As a Nightblade Vampire I often go kill other stuff till either Swarm or Soul Tether is up. Good results with whirlwind or volcanic rune as well. The orbs have so little health any area effect with damage will destroy them healing you instead.
You don't necessarily need AoE for the orbs. It's possible with single target too. My templar tank is doing fine against them.
Tips:
- start with ultimate and refill your ult bar when killing the orbs
- at Dark Anchors you can dodge them: kill everything else and clear the pinions. Those get unlocked even if just one enemy is missing.
- try grouping for Dark Anchors. Soloing them isn't supposed to be easy.
I can understand your frustration. About the only way I can defeat a Harvester is by using my Ultimate. Many times I can solo a WB without using my ultimate, but not those creatures even if they are not a boss.
Some key things to remember when fighting Harvesters:
1. Use the break out feature as soon as she grabs you and summons her orbs.
Don't just sit there waiting for her to release you, your gonna lose precious
time taking out those orbs.
2. Go for the orbs asap. This is easier to do with ranged weapons or AoE.
3. Her wave attack can be interrupted. Try to interrupt it often, not only will you
avoid some heavy damage and knock back but it will stun her for a few
seconds.
Major thing to remember with Storm Atronachs:
Don't bother trying to kite, their snare is pretty much inescapable. Trying to get distance is only going to give them free hits. As crazy as it sounds it's better to engage in melee with skills that increase armor/damage reduction/dodge chance.
Melee's also a better option because you can actually interrupt their power attack. You have a really limited window of opportunity that you can't make with ranged attack because of the time it takes for the skill to go off and connect. However bash can get it easy. Once you get the rhythm of interrupting the power attack, Storm Atronachs are a simple tank and spank job.
Beware all ye who log on for here there be typos...
These things have been nerfed a bit since launch. They are not as much of a headache as they used to be.
However, they are very irritating in specific situations. Such as summoning the healing spheres in tight quarters. Perfect example (I was just there), in the corridors in the Far Shores quest at the end of Bangkorai. They summon the spheres directly on top of themselves as there is no room. Thus, basically instantly healing themselves and there is nothing you can do about it. Draws the fight out much longer.
I have noticed certain fights in other areas they have altered due to this exact problem. Again, in Bangkorai. The one with the prince who comes back... You used to have to fight that harvester inside the temple causing this exact problem. They have altered the quest where you now go into a large chamber under the temple to fight her with plenty of space to handle the spheres as they come in.
Work in progress....

OK, I hate them as well. Especially in a tomb i Bangkorai, in a quest that is essential to the covenant questline.
There is no challange, they are just f*cking impossible to kill. I tried both ranged and melee, several different tactics. I can´t kill them on my own, which is a severe design flaw. I´m about the same level as them so the challenge is really unfair.
The only AOE I have is whirlwind attack, and that one is too slow to kill the Feasts, since I have be right next to the Harvester.
The problem with this particular harvester is that it is in a corridor, so the walls make the feast appear almost next to the Harvester. Not a chance in Oblivion I can kill the in time
.
> Bow to shoot balls (pref for a scatter type shot) - is easy
> Dont go it alone, you need someone else to bait and damage the Harvester while you take out the balls

What class are you? They all have a class AoE and a class ultimate AoE that can be used. You may have to slot a different ability for the fight but they are definitely soloable at your level even in close quarters like that.

Nightblade. My ultimate ability is the one that drains life and staggers the oponents for a while. It is useless against these OP basterds. The few I managed too kill simply forgot to summon Feast, due to some bug. That is just unfair.
Don´t get me wrong, challange is good. Impossible is infuriating.
I mean, seriously.. even the last boss was a walk in the park in comparison to Harvesters.
Yes, vote for the utter extermination, boxing and deleting of these boring opponents.
