RatedChaotic✭✭✭✭I actually miss text chat on mmos. You can find some good friends just texting away. Hard to do that with this voice chat system. When its almost always filled with wanna be Easy Es with their rap and n***er this and n***er that and the little timmies ready to trash talk you just for saying ''whats up?''.
Have yet to have a positive moment with the voice chat. I have played over 20 mmos in my 25+ years of gaming and by far eso communication is the worst imo.Edited by RatedChaotic on January 4, 2016 12:34PM1 -

dehlert✭✭At least they could do stuff like when you create a Guild, it automatically creates a "Community" on PS4. Soo basically that community works as Guild Chat. Oh wait, people would do it themselves if they wanted, I suppose no-one cares so much.
Having to tab out of game and go into communities shouldn't be required, not too mention 1. It would get annoying to see constant pop ups of new posts and 2. Guild chat is a small fraction of interaction still needed in this game1 -
PKLdude✭✭✭Again it is simply they would rather alternate instead of include. Many factors went in to the fact that they had to go from subscription to buy 2play. The game was terribly rushed, buggy, poor customer relations and service. They continued this trend all throughout the games life, they could have made better choices with the console release, already having gone b2p, but they continue to feel that their original vision, for console anyway will be tarnished by listening to those who actually play the game. Why they wont pull their head out of their asxxx is beyond me. They discriminate against a portion of their playerbase, those with disabilities of anxieties with verbal communication. Some are hard of hearing, dyslexia, social anxieties etc., but since they are a small faction they don't matter. A large portion of the console playerbase, based on polls here one could easily argue the majority but ZOS won't do their job and send out email questioners, still want it to HELP their game. Furthering the communication is a positive not a negative.
Those against have no strong argument other than selfish self-interest, even if it was simply an option if it's all about their gameplay disregarding others. They care so little for other gamers and the longevity of the game they would rather have it alienate and remove portions of the playerbase. ZOS continues the same mentality and that is why they didn't deserve to have an mmo based on a subscription model, they care so little for their players, demonstrated over the couple years, almost, that they lost a lot of those who were willing to support them financially in this fashion. I keep going back to square enix as an example not because I love their game but they are a shining example of how to treat your customers/playerbase. They created an even playing field between the platforms. Square doesn't try to argue that Consolers are to stupid or simply want a different experience therefore we'll leave out necessary feature, that is called being lazy as a developer.

Yeah.. all we can do is to keep talking about it Even if i am sure they really dont care to add it i still hope they improve the game more.
I mean why Does Big companys show less and less support for their games.? Indie games shows alot of support to their games arc just released on xbox and it got text chat and pretty much all features from pc. I know why becouse in the end its all about money but i wish people cared more. I am not saying zos doesnt care about the game its just that they could do so much more with the console version and give us what we deserve. And not some version which removed certain features1
