Exactly tho there won't be any 300 cp gear for awhile so those people who have over 300 cps are getting ripped off by having to wear 160 cp gear at the beginning the amount of cps you had before vr removal is the amount of gear you should get right off the bat not have to wait for awhile that's not right

Boy, this sure looks familiar. Nothing's ever fair, you're always getting ripped off in everything in this game. Is that about right?

I'm not getting your point, there is no 300 CP gear. You're not getting ripped off, you still get max-level gear just like anyone else with enough CP. I guess you want gear to scale all the way up to 501 right out of the gates? Why? One of the things I liked about ZOS's proposed plan for VR removal was that I wouldn't have to go out and regrind all my gear on day one.

Obviously not. He's saying he has around 300 cps. Assuming the VR to cp conversion leaves him with around the same amount of cps, he is worried he will be using the same armor as people with only 160 cps.

He is not worried about not getting the 'max-level gear just like anyone else', he is saying people with only 160 cps will be wearing the same armor as him and he wants armor that is better since he would have more cps.

Same with people with the cap. They certainly don't want to be using crap armor anyone with only 160 cps can use. They've put the time and effort into grinding 500+ cps so they should be able to use armor they've earned.

TL;DR
Pre vet rank v16 people with no cps should not be able to use the same armor as people with 500+ cps.

Ok so... people that have complained their way to getting VR removed are fine, but someone who would feel cheated if their work of getting to 300 cps would be for naught if the people with only 160 cps are capable of using the same gear...

No, it's more a matter of every single post he makes is complaining that X is unfair to him. The only thing that ever seems to change is what exactly X is.

I heard a story awhile ago about a few lawyers standing in an airport talking about how an airplane flies and arguing how each one of them would fly it better. The gist of the story is that no amount of talking will ever get that plane in the air

After coming back to the game in October I've leveled a few characters to VR16 and finished the silver/gold lines. A few other alts are sitting in the VRs. Compared to any other mmo I've ever played, solo leveling has never been this easy.

Stop talking about the grind and level your character that is somehow held back by your need to complain about leveling.

Well, I don't stalk the guy, so i can't comment on his other forums activities, but the cp conversion is a valid concern and if the conversion happens the way he's concerned about then he'll have a valid complaint as well.

No, it's not even a remotely valid complaint. It just shows that the people complaining obviously don't understand what's happening.

The new "160 CP gear" is the exact same thing as VR16 gear now. If players are VR16, they can already wear the equivalent of "160 CP gear" right now, even if they don't have 160 CP. Nothing will change when the update hits.

Right now, there are a bunch of VR16 people wearing VR16 gear. Let's look at some examples:

Player A is VR16, but has only 80 CP.
Player B is VR16, and has 160 CP.
Player C is VR16, and has 400 CP.

All three of these players are currently wearing VR16 gear, because they are all VR16. They have vastly different CP, but they can all wear the same level gear.

Update happens that removes VR levels. All VR players get 2.5 CP per rank, so all of our VR16 players will get 40 more CP.
If that doesn't push them to at least 10 CP per VR (so 160 total CP for our VR16 players), they will get more to push them that high.

Player A now has 160 CP. The 40 extra CP only got him to 120, so he gets bumped to 160 CP.
Player B now has 200 CP. He just got the 40 extra CP for being VR16.
Player C now has 440 CP. He also got 40 more CP.

Their existing "VR16" gear becomes "160 CP" gear. Since they all have at least 160 CP, they can all wear the same gear exactly as before the update. The 400 CP guy doesn't get "screwed" out of anything. He's in the same position he was before the update. More CP than the others, but wearing the same gear.

Now, what would be unfair, is if 400 CP gear was added to the game during the update, as Found and Beamy suggest it should be. If that happened, then the 440 CP guy and the 160 cp guy now can't wear the same level gear (as they were before the update) pushing the power gap between them to MUCH more than it was before. Exactly the type of thing that ZOS is trying to avoid.

Well, as of right now people with 300+ cp have to wear the same gear as those filthy peasants with a v16 character and only 90 cp, the horror!. I have more than 400 cp, surely I should get some kind of uber-super engine guardian helm when I run darkshade tonight, right? /sarcasm

Or, hey, maybe all those nifty passives I get from the champion system are my reward for having a ton of cp? Maybe the devs don't want to create huge gaps in the player base by handing out gear to people at the cp cap that would be three times as powerful as what most other players would be using.

No one is getting ripped off. ZOS never once said that all gear would immediately scale all the way to the cp cap. There is no gear that will be higher than what is currently available, such gear will be made available incrementally over time. Whining that "people with only 160 cps will be wearing the same armor as him and he wants armor that is better since he would have more cps" is nothing but elitist nonsense. You already get the best gear and more passives than those lowly 160 cp noobs, do you want a special cupcake with that as well?
