forget race change we need a class change

I do not want to level up a nightblade to vr16 please make class change.so I can switch my stamina sorcerer to a nightblade I made a sorcerer in the beginning on console cause I thought you could play the way you want. but it isn't true with all the limitations a stamina sorcerer has. had I known at the time I would of leveled up a nightblade. now I don't enjoy the game as much cause I'm playing a class I hate.think about putting life into the game a again for some players who are like me and make class change a thing.

It isn't hard to power grind an alt. I would seriously consider just leveling a NB and converting your Sorc to magicka. Mag Sorcs are a pretty fun to play class and it certainly sounds like you would be a LOT happier with a stam or mag Night BladePS4 NA Server

So alliance change is a yes but class change is a no? All quests are tied to your starting alliance IC included I don't even want to think of all the code they would have to add to accommodate the change plus what they will break in trying to do so! while if you program a class change it is obviously much simpler nothing attached to classes besides skills which as evident by vampire and werewolf skill trees can be manipulated without issue. It is much less likely to break things and will most likely sell better.PS4 NA

✭Do what you want doesn't mean be successful with any hodgepodge setup. If you want to roll a alt nightblade do it. It really doesn't take that much time to level a new character. Particularly with Orsinium's level scaling.1 -
Lol, if there were class changes, there would only be one class right now -- nightblades. All I see right now in the starter city is sorcerers and nightblades... wonder why?
Although I think nightblades will stay the best class for a while, as unlike the other classes, there isn't much they can do to change it, so maybe they should just let everyone make a one time change. That might make the current nightblades sad, though.2 -

If ZOS released metrics on classes it could be taken more seriously. You're limited interaction in game is not at all representive of any class by class breakdown.0 -

To be fair, the game doesn't seem to offer much for repeated playthroughs. Perhaps with The Old Republic, which offered a degree of alteration through dialogue choices, but this story isn't exactly stellar to just "play the game" all over again.
I do agree that trying to incorporate class changes isn't a good idea. They'll probably break the game even more, and the entire community will end up playing the same class, as only four classes exist to begin with, and they really seem to be struggling with balancing them. If they could do it without a detrimental effect on the game, maybe a one-time change, but I really don't even think that's a good idea.Edited by SevenKingdoms on January 4, 2016 2:35AM3 -

✭✭Class change is stupid. You did not earn the right be a class unless you have gone through the pain of grinding up the skill line's and learning how to play the class. This is almost as bad as alliance change.
The only thing i would not mind is Race Change. There is no reason why player's should not be able to change race. You would still need to go through the process of leveling the race though.
This is Eso, this is a magical world where polymorph's and magical spell's exist. There could be a quest in the Mage Guild that could go into a long process to race change. Each race could have a long quest line where you experience what it's like to be the race your changing in to. You go into a different dimension and swap bodies with yourself who is the race you want. Just a quick work around to make it sound plausible and there you have it.

✭✭✭✭✭As long as you have 160 CPs, it's going to be easy to reroll a new max level character when vet ranks are removed. Getting from 1-50 will not take you long, especially on Nightblade.
So my recommendation? Start a Nightblade now so it's ready for veteran rank removals.1 -

The VR16 is my main character and the VR6 is my crafter. On my VR16 I've completed the main story, Cadwell's Quests, and IC quests. I think creating another character and "power grinding" your way to max level just to enjoy another class is way too restrictive and time consuming...I've completed the entire story and while it was enjoyable I have no desire to play through it again.
On a broader note, I feel that changing your class, and race, and appearance are necessary features that I'm disappointed ESO doesn't yet have.PC NA

You do realize that even if they had a class change, you would still have to level each and every class skill again, right? So imagine being a VR16 and now you have a new class but with low level skills yet you can't go back to lower levels to grind XP to level your skills because you don't get any XP if you're over five levels above enemies. Which means you now have to face high level enemies equal to yourself but with low level class skills until you can level them. Doesn't sound like my idea of fun... which means that you'd be better off re-rolling a new character and using the 1-50 levels to level up your class skills then using CP to reach max character level once VR is removed.CP: 2078 ** ESO+ 2025 Content Pass ** ~~ ***** Strictly a solo PvE quester *****

No you Wouldn't the class change would unlock every line you have completed just on the new class say summoning for example if you already maxed out that skill line as a sorcerer then it would just translate over to the new class you pick3 -

✭✭✭✭✭Class change is very unlikely, because it does not add to the game, it detracts from it, because it would cost way more programmer time to code then they might expect to make back from the few people who'd actually pay for that, and because more people'd hate it then people would like it.
Do as everyone does - make an alt, level it up. It's not that hard, especially not once the veteran ranks get removed...
Heck, make three, give each class a spin, see which one you enjoy most, play that one and park the rest for later...
Alternately, you could also refit your stamina sorc to magica, all it takes is a bit of gold and a visit to your faction capital to reset all attributes and skill morphs... well, and a new set of gear, but there well stocked guildstores can be very helpful.2 -

For all I know zenimax will not implement this....... and do stop posting for a class change because I tried it once and the rest of people in this forum disagrees with it ( god knows why?)
I suggests you to ditch this game for good like I have moved from ESO to FFXIV ARR (ffxiv as what you call "Play the way you want" in it. There is a race(buy online), flying mount and class change as well you can take some abilities from your pervious class and add them but the only downside is its combat is not fast and uses a subscription based model)Edited by Van_0S on January 4, 2016 6:51AM2 -
