Restoration is a perfectly valid school of magic, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise! - Spells and incantations for those with the talent to cast them!

Do a search here, this is a known bug that has been around for a long time.

Oh I know. It's been around pretty much since PC launch. That's partly why I got pissed off the other day when I got this in a reply from CS:

The issue that you have described does not sound like one that we are receiving any reports on previously, but I can certainly keep an eye out, just in case.
Seriously? Even without doing a search on the forums I knew that this was a known bug that has been around for well over a year, because I remember having seen multiple threads about it. And yet CS has no idea that this is a known bug? For *** sake...

Haha. This bug was reported the first time in April 2014, the month of release. And then multiple times after. So, they either don't care or just declared it as unfixable. But stating it is was unknown is ridiculous.

They're weird. It's like they don't even have any idea what their colleagues are doing or anything.
I have accidentally deconstructed a legendery dwemer staff before and contacted CS with a plea to restore it. To be honest I wasn't even really hopeful, just really upset(yes it was my bad too, I know, should've been more careful instead of mindlessly clicking "deconstruct" for 1001st time but you know how it goes...) but the very next day I got a very nice response AND my staff back. I was really happy and grateful and began to wonder if their CS had perhaps finally began to improve.
Next day a guildie of mine had a similar experience and I told him my story, so he contacted the CS himself...to be told they're unable to restore deconstructed items. Really? I must've had a nice dream then I guess...

I'm still keeping that letter in my mail(it doesn't expire) as a reminder that ZOS has at least one friendly and capable person in their CS  ...or they had at some point at least.

Probably one of the few ppl at ZOS who play this game.
