Terrible solution to the monster helm grind...
how did you come up with this? With 2 piece undaunted sets sold for ap?
Most things werent confirmed by zos either. Ap and gold are both available. It will also b a weekly thing and will somehow rotate so not everything is available at once. No mentipn of containers/ traits. Someone said only helms sold but i dont think thats official tho

Zos commented on a thread after the anouncement can't remember the title of the thread but i can look for it.They selling all armor piece from dungeons as well so they will also be selling spell power cure and sheer venom from what i understood @ZOS_BrianWheeler was saying. Most things werent confirmed by zos either. I just bumped the thread you can read it yourself.Just follow ZOS post in the thread.Zos commented on a thread after the anouncement can't remember the title of the thread but i can look for it.They selling all armor piece from dungeons as well so they will also be selling spell power cure and sheer venom from what i understood @ZOS_BrianWheeler was saying. Most things werent confirmed by zos either. Omfg yes!!!!!!! This is news to me!!!!! *dances *
I read A LOT more complaining about the bad RNG and lack of dropping the helms than I did about PVP players unable to get BIS gear without playing PVE. I believe ZOS added the vendor to address both problems tho. IMO, however, RNG was the only problem because it is illogical to think you can play one aspect of an MMO, skip the other, and still hit max stats. I understand ZOS wanting to keep the PVP players happy though because between DLC releases PVP seems more active than PVE, after the initial excitement of new content wears off. IMO the devs should have fixed the RNG not created a vendor. I hope they don't go this route again.
If the dungeons in this game didn't suck so much maybe more people would want to run them.Forcing players to Run the pledges just for the best in slot gear is wrong and been needing to change. Also I like this solution it allows PVPErs to get the gear they need and don't force us to PVE.While PVERs can still do Dungeons to get their gear I see nothing wrong with that.Yeah, you guys are right. After all, it may be a good thing to make it harder to find ppl do run pledges with and making the PvPers isolate themselves in Cyrodiil.
I mean, it's not like the current gear vendors in Cyrodiil have PvP gear for sale that needs to be scaled, or the TV Gear vendors in IC who need the weekly random traits rotation in their vendor lists and have Overwhelming Surge/Spell Power Cure/etc added to them as well.
Let's just go with the easiest solution to end the grinding instead of finding a better one that is well thought out from both PvP and PvE perspectives and has the same effects.
BTW: this posts may contain hints of sarcasm

How exactly you're doing that? Make RNG too easy, people complain theres nothing to do, make it too hard, people complain about RNG like we had here. With this system, player can try with RNG and then totally forgot the RNG if he doesnt get it, or is too pissed off. I think this solution is the best. Out of sight, out of mind.

Engine Guardian - 2nd run
Molag Kena - 4th run
Blood Spawn - 1st run
Never had a helm not drop in the first ten clears. I delete the junk sets and the duplicates because I only run one character.

I may not know how exactly their coding works(judging by the state of the game, it simply doesn't sometimes) but one way to go would be make droprate chance increase with every run. Let's say your default helm droprate is 10%. You run it, get no helm. Then next time you run the chance will be...Idk, say 12%. You get no helm again, you go to 14. And so on so in worst case you'll get it with 100% chance at your run #45 or so. After that the chance'd reset back to 10%.
Another way is, well, tokens. Which is kinda similar in the sense that after <x> runs you can get what you want for sure.
Their RNG really is off though. So yeah I guess monster vendor+broken RNG beats no monster vendor+broken RNG. Though neither of these beats, well, unbroken RNG.
It was *a* solution for whine... Just not the right one. Now people are whining about unlocking AvA skill lines with PvE and/or Undaunted/Mages Guild/Fighters Guild skill lines with PvP.
RNG was an issue. The answer was to fix the RNG. Token system, better RNG system, BoE rather than BoP items... all these would have been better solutions.

45 run? That makes people whine about the grind. I think Zen has good philosophy now and build on it, just guide player on another direction if one fails and maybe one day he comes back.
Why do people think this will ruin dailes?? If i want engine guardian for example, lets say they only place 1 monster set in the vendor every week. Do you really think people will wait the possible 2+months to get what will probably be a random trait or extremely expensive specific 1 without even attempting daily?
