Do we know anything more about it?
If you will be able to buy them only via AP and/or gold?
Only shoulders and/or Helms?
And if it will be in containers or nah?
If you have official! information I and many people, would like to know.

Go back and watch it @ostrapz they said both helm and shoulders for ap/gold. The vendor will come to pvp with different gear for sale twice a week. The vendor will not always be there but on two specific days.

@Tryxus it is a great solution considering there is nothing to spend ap on and people with millions of gold have nothing to spend gold on. 160 VCOH runs and I have no helm. Two months of doing pledges on 2 characters and all I have are 20 some shoulders for spawn of mephala, and ONE valkyn shoulder.....never seen anything else especially the nerienth shoulders I want. Sooooo yea it is a awesome solution

It's not a solution to the grind.

It's a play style fix so PVP players or to some extent PVE players can play PVP and still get beat in slot monster helm gear sets.

The more threads about this, the more pressure ZoS has to implement this. And I have all my helms and shoulders now so I dont really want this. Although at least when a new dungeon comes out I can just buy the helm the first time the merchant offers it.

I read A LOT more complaining about the bad RNG and lack of dropping the helms than I did about PVP players unable to get BIS gear without playing PVE. I believe ZOS added the vendor to address both problems tho. IMO, however, RNG was the only problem because it is illogical to think you can play one aspect of an MMO, skip the other, and still hit max stats. I understand ZOS wanting to keep the PVP players happy though because between DLC releases PVP seems more active than PVE, after the initial excitement of new content wears off. IMO the devs should have fixed the RNG not created a vendor. I hope they don't go this route again.

The game's central concept of "PvP in PvP areas and be safe in safe areas" needs to stay the way it is.

Yeah, you guys are right. After all, it may be a good thing to make it harder to find ppl do run pledges with and making the PvPers isolate themselves in Cyrodiil.

I mean, it's not like the current gear vendors in Cyrodiil have PvP gear for sale that needs to be scaled, or the TV Gear vendors in IC who need the weekly random traits rotation in their vendor lists and have Overwhelming Surge/Spell Power Cure/etc added to them as well.

Let's just go with the easiest solution to end the grinding instead of finding a better one that is well thought out from both PvP and PvE perspectives and has the same effects.

Is helm drop supposed to be rare?
    Engine Guardian - 2nd run
    Molag Kena - 4th run
    Blood Spawn - 1st run

Never had a helm not drop in the first ten clears. I delete the junk sets and the duplicates because I only run one character.

How exactly you're doing that? Make RNG too easy, people complain theres nothing to do, make it too hard, people complain about RNG like we had here. With this system, player can try with RNG and then totally forgot the RNG if he doesnt get it, or is too pissed off. I think this solution is the best. Out of sight, out of mind.

I think this is a great solution (Provided you can buy with gold AND AP). Why not? Its not like PvEr's won't have a chance to go to Cyrodiil, hit the base camp of their faction, buy the helms, and leave without touching PvP. It should work just fine.

Then PvPers can buy the helms without dungeon delving too. I don't see any negatives here.

If the dungeons in this game didn't suck so much maybe more people would want to run them.Forcing players to Run the pledges just for the best in slot gear is wrong and been needing to change. Also I like this solution it allows PVPErs to get the gear they need and don't force us to PVE.While PVERs can still do Dungeons to get their gear I see nothing wrong with that.

I may not know how exactly their coding works(judging by the state of the game, it simply doesn't sometimes) but one way to go would be make droprate chance increase with every run. Let's say your default helm droprate is 10%. You run it, get no helm. Then next time you run the chance will be...Idk, say 12%. You get no helm again, you go to 14. And so on so in worst case you'll get it with 100% chance at your run #45 or so. After that the chance'd reset back to 10%.

Another way is, well, tokens. Which is kinda similar in the sense that after <x> runs you can get what you want for sure.

Their RNG really is off though. So yeah I guess monster vendor+broken RNG beats no monster vendor+broken RNG. Though neither of these beats, well, unbroken RNG.

In the nicest possible way. xxxx you!

Molag Kena - 23 runs, 0 masks, not even well-fitted.

So yeah, I think this is a great idea. I will pay up to 5M gold for a Divine Molag Kena mask at this stage. I think it should be at least 500k though, or 250k gamble boxes with random traits. In any case it shouldn't be an easy alternative to running undaunted pledges.

Yes you have them... How about thoes that after adding +2 vet ranks can not find any or there are some people that run dungeons often and they did not get any.

If i could buy at least shoulders with random light/medium/heavy and triat for some gold, I am happy to do that. However if they will do it only for AP, that is different story. I was PvPing for month now and I actually do not remember when all memebers of group had siege or repaired walls beacuse they save AP for stupid styles or something. And of course what about people that do not do PvP.
    EDIT:
The dying PvE population will not be happy about that. I am one of the PvE, I hate PvP.
You need to give PvE players something for exchange. This is must. I already see more and more people waiting just for 3 other people to hold hand and walk through dungeon with Vr16 gear and all the best sets and bla bla bla. I even saw people posting their dps in zone chat -_- and few people left beacuse i was vr15 and whats going with this i didnt had "good gear". But this is another problem. I would love to see more Weapon & Jewelry Sets drops. It is pain if you do not have IC DLC of course.

Are we being forced to do anything in this game?

    Thought so...

If a PvPer doesn't want to run dungeons, he can get gear crafted or he should be able to buy good v16 PvP gear from the vendors (hence I suggested that the gear should scale up).

Also, PvEers "can" do dungeons, but I'm pretty sure many of them will hop over to Cyrodiil to buy the gear with gold, reducing the amount of players that'll run pledges even further.

I do agree that the grind should be removed: I haven't found a helm for about 150+ runs and finally got one... a v6 Bogdan helm that I got from helping out a group. And this... is prob the worst of the possible solutions to reduce the grind. There are better ways of reducing/removing the grind than to destroy a daily event by putting up the desired gear on a vendor.

This is more of a timebomb really

It was *a* solution for whine... Just not the right one. Now people are whining about unlocking AvA skill lines with PvE and/or Undaunted/Mages Guild/Fighters Guild skill lines with PvP.

RNG was an issue. The answer was to fix the RNG. Token system, better RNG system, BoE rather than BoP items... all these would have been better solutions. I made a thread with a few proposals a few days ago, but everybody seemed to prefer the PvP vs. PvE wars on the other threads...

Those belong obviously to Crown Store.

I think Zen has good idea, I'd love to see where this leads now. Token system is not perfect either, soon theres 1 thousand tokens, and what a mess its, players want that to be merged with this etc, other player think thats unfair, and start to rage etc.

45 run is WAY less than I and many of my friends have done for certain helms with 0 result. I'm also not suggesting you have 0 chance of getting helmet during those runs, you may well get it on first one, just that after 45 you'll get it with 100% guaranty while with the current system you can literally never get it(unlikely but absolutely possible). Anyway, my % was just an example that seemed reasonable to me, perhaps more or less would do better but it's just speculation since ZOS obviously decided not to go that route.
I guess we'll see how their route works out soon.

Why do people think this will ruin dailes?? If i want engine guardian for example, lets say they only place 1 monster set in the vendor every week. Do you really think people will wait the possible 2+months to get what will probably be a random trait or extremely expensive specific 1 without even attempting daily?
