Yeah, I've stuffed myself with Christmas dinner so my brain has logged off, haha.
I wanted to put this up now so we can gradually build something. I think creating a Guild for everyone to donate gifts to may be a good way to start it. Maybe collecting regular 'street attire' like the shirts and sandals for people to wear and dye too. Also looking at the holidays and finding the National ones rather than just the area specific celebrations.

✭I suggest you stop giving gifts to newbies, because a pack of clowns in brightly coloured costumes (which itself could cause some to ragequit) giving gifts to strangers could be mistaken for the old guard throwing away gear in wake of game cancellation announcement.
We should instead scam newbies for soul shriven rags or lure them to dark caverns and feed them to vicious mudcrabs to demonstrate that there is a lot of drama and roleplaying going on.0 -

I thought it was really generous, back then they cost around 7k. So occasionally I give away some purple motifs too, after I've done a vet dungeon, or sell 'm really cheap. Once I gave two motifs of Xivkyn to a fellow guildie aswell. On Christmas Eve my trade guild leader sent every active guildmember something out of the guild bank. Thought it was a nice gesture too. Your Holiday event suggestions sound like a great plan! Maybe ZOS will catch this up^^.Characters

Heindrich✭✭✭✭✭I like to foster a nice atmosphere ingame as much as possible, particularly in my own guild. So I am giving away 1 million gold over this holiday period to nice people in my guild in a lottery. To avoid personal bias I made the following rules:
1) 500k, 250k and 250k would be given to three randomly chosen winners from a pool of guildies nominated by other guildies for doing something nice in the guild.
2) Each guildie may only nominate one other person.
3) You cannot nominate whoever that nominated you. (So no nomination trading).
4) All guild senior leaders cannot participate.1 -

One thing of note, the reason "player" hosted events have always seemed silly to me in a game that doesn't have anything to support those events is they lack the small details of the event that is being celebrated. Since ESO has such a diverse landscape I think your little organization could really benefit from hosting events in locations that best suit their theme.
Since ESO doesn't have holiday themed decorations, it's all about the setting.
Valenwood (I think that's where I took this) would be good for Heart's Day...
Check out this thread @Cazzy (http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/221826/real-world-holidays-related-to-tamriel-holidays) it covers what Tamrielic holidays equate to real world holidays.
There are even those which do not have real world equivalents that would be a blast to celebrate in ESO. Like Dancing Day Mid Year (June) 23rd. That one would be easy to celebrate in ESO. You could even have giveaways by having one character dance and having players PM the dancer to guess which dance you're doing.
