The fact that siege dots could be cleansed is part of the reason it's so pathetic right now. A Templar or anyone with purge makes siege useless. Try killing a group with a templar or two with just siege. Ain't gonna happen.

And so on and so forth, now you're forced to use Purge, an Alliance War skill to counter Alliance War siege, what a shame. What in Boethiah's name do the developers think they're doing making Alliance War siege only removable with an Alliance War ability!? Bring back the softcaps!
Is it uncleansable only from Purify synergy or by any DoT removal skill such as Dark Cloak etc? I can understand if they make it unremovable form the Synergy as while it sounds nasty, in reality every Tom, *** and Jerry spams purify (both Templar and Alliance War versions) making siege weapons just as ineffective as they always were.
Siege weapons serve as zergbusters (ON PURPOSE) - if 10 people in a 20 person raid constantly spam purify just for the fun of it - what point is there for siege weapons as designated zerg-busters?

ZOS is bringing back the pre IC sige weapon damage already as it is. No one is going to be able to heal through cold fire siege weapons for very long without running out magicka with or without the Templar skill.
the dot is purgable, just not the effect (slow, heal debuff and so on)

What are you talking about? the Alliance War skill Purge will not work as well.

Siege is going to be something to fear as it should be. As a Nightblade I was literally immune to siege machinery thanks to Dark Cloak, and I'm glad this is getting changed.
I'm all for adjusting Templar man but the change to siege is not directed at them.

Exactly, my previous post was satire with the intention of illustrating in a colorful way how much our developers love and respect the PvP aspect of their game; specifically, the majority of all changes and updates, Imperial City included are pushed with a major motivation which is the following; "How can we spread out server population for less stress on the server?"
So instead of 200 v 200 v 200 "epic battles" like we originally had for many months, the developers are balancing around how to minimize server stress; if you can't purge siege weapons, more players characters will die, meaning fights should go on for less time, meaning less stress on the server, meaning less lag in Cyrodiil. However this is all nonsense as it will never be fixed simply due to the fact we've gone from 200 v 200 v 200 with little to no lag to 30 v 30 v 30 with extreme lag.
