How Much of the Discussion Here Ever Really Gets Back to the Devs?

Just curious. I mean I know there's the ' Ask a Developer ' Eso Live thing. But other than that ........

and other than when major / serious bugs are reported and noted...

I really wonder if any of the more constructive threads gain the attention of anyone at Zenimax......?

I have my doubts.... and that's a shame since these forums feel like something of an untapped resource.

You know that feeling when you're typing something genuinely helpful to the game..... but have the nagging feeling in the back of your mind that you are probably just pissing into the wind?

( Metaphorically , of course...............!)

Well, they read the forums often.

You only need to look at the game to see they listen. Maybe too much.

All the nerfs, veteran ranks, champion system, parts of the justice system, and I'm sure there's more. All due to feedback.

I bet what they do is use a key word finder to use to edit things that are negative other than that the people will tag them or report things those are the things being seen mostly haha not every random thing going on

I agree with some of this, but some of the major changes they have made and plan to make to ESO seem to be arbitrarily implemented. I've seen a lot of constructive and genuinely good suggestions here, and while I want to say that the devs listen to our feedback, it's a difficult concept to get behind. My mind keeps wandering back to the time when there were countless broken skills, gear, and items in the game, and we saw a 10 GB patch with nothing but audio fixes and facial animations.

I suspect these forums are mostly just another marketing tool..... along with a method for angry / disappointed people to let off steam and rant a little bit.... (so they get the impression that they are being listened to...)

They read them. They are constantly moderated as well. Gina is in here all the time. Just because they don't respond to every thread doesn't mean they're not here. If I was a dev I would be in here all the time reading feedback on my product, because if I had a job as awesome as making a worldwide video game I would care about my product.

My job in real life? Not so much. I work so I can go home

Many people here can at least say they are listened to period. I feel ignored entirely by Zenimax when it comes to bug reporting... And so far there is no evidence to prove otherwise. I report a good amount of bugs too

There's one bug I report regularly... Secunda doesn't have a reflection in the water. That REALLY bugs me. hehe.
