The OP means that you "earn" the tokens,THEN,you can buy the items you have the tokens for.Not with gold you got running grinds,or dungeons,etc.

I just play the game for all it offers.I dont "chase gear",as someone here said,and that isnt what all MMOs are about. While I do envy someone when they go by wearing amazing looking gear,it isnt in a bad way.I think,wow,that's great!.I've even asked where they got it. I dont get all twisted up annoyed about them having what I cant get.
Having said that,I really do understand how the OP feels though. I had the first little key and felt like I had made it in with the big boys.When I went and unlocked the chest,.I got a few pieces of gold and a couple of non interesting mats. Nothing more.
I kind of deflated,and I havent done anything regarding the Undaunted since.Your first chest should be something that makes you excited enough to carry on gathering more more keys,not turn away. Those keys arent worth the trouble for me.

I get engine guardian shoulders like they are candy, but out of my 40 gold keys I've yet to see a damn Kena shoulder to save my life... Sigh, here's to hoping my AP can get it for me. Id easily drop 1 mil AP on a Kena Shoulder.
