End game?

So I'm coming from gw2 where end game was grind for achievements, and skins.

Basically it consisted of log in, do this same event over and over, your now closer to your skin.

I was curious what should I expect later in this game for pve? I'm excited for cadwells silver and gold at one point but what's next?

I understand wanting all legendary weapons and gears.

I am a solo player by the way. I gladly play with others in the area though

I think people care just a little too much about endgame, especially when they race towards it...

Whatever happened to playing a game for the thrill ride along the way? Hell I've dragged out my gameplay so much that my main is still only VR11 and I have soooooo much still left to do! And I've been playing since console release, which is like, what, 5 months now?

I do not regret not being VR16. I will get there when I get there and am in no hurry to. Screw endgame, I iz gamer!

Oh, guess I should mention my 7 alts help me extend things too lol

endgame is either pvp or pve.
pve is selfexplaining and pve is mostly group dungeons, trials and maelstromarena

I came from GW2 before coming here so I know what you mean about their end game being about skins and achievements.

Here for PvP end game you work towards earning Alliance Points which is a PvP currency as well as unlocking skills in the Allliance War Assault and Support skill lines. Alliance Points are not shared account wide so if you like playing many alts, you might be spending plenty of time in Cyrodiil doing PvP activities. Oh and you don't have to wait until "End Game" to start on PvP stuff, you can begin at level 10 if you wish.

If PvP isn't your thing, once you reach level 45 you can do daily Undaunted dungeon pledges and earn points in the Undaunted skill line to unlock some nice skills and passives. So doing dungeons isn't just about getting gear and XP.

And of course once you are veteran level any XP you earn goes toward earning champion points which you can spend to make your character stronger.

The endgame is almost 0 till next update in January/February trials right now don't reward you for the time you put into them and they are a mitigation stacking fest nothing really fun as a healer the level of skill required for doing this content is 2/10 and as dps you only need to have a cookie cutter build and just spam your buttons in the right order it doesn't require skill to dodge or avoid any kind of damage.
I'm hoping that some day they introduce Raid progression without making gear inside the raid too important because a game should be about skill not who has better gear, also make Trials more engaging for us healer because Healing Springs spam and throwing a nova is really a turn off.

    I come from pen-and-paper RPG and am a multi-account alt-o-holic

Engame? No such thing for me. there is just .... game, which I am enjoying. Played since about 2 months after PC release, and my highest level character is Vet 5.

Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

The end for pve would be trials/ vet maelstrom
Though some people see Pvp as endgame

Just what ever you enjoy to be fair, i think of both endgame.

    PS4 EU DC

    Current CP : 756+

I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

RIP my effort to get 5x v16 characters...

What about combat prayer, agressive warhorn, luminous shards, mystic orb, repentance and such ?
I bet your group is not even in the leaderboards with a healer like you

    End game can be:

    - PVP
    - Veteran Dungeon (vet WhiteGold Tower and Vet imperial Prison being the hardest)
    - Veteran DragonStar Arena
    - Trials (though Aetherian and Hell ra citadel trials are too low level now to be considered truely as end game)
    - The Maelstrom Arena, normal and veteran. Veteran being very hard
    - Orsinium dailies and World bosses

    - Silver and Gold cadwell are not considered as end game. But it's very enjoyable if you like questing. It will not offer you any sort of challenge though
    - Orsinium questing is awesome and wonderful, but as Silver and Gold, it's not "challenging"

This is a good summary, however dragonstar arena and all trials currently don't scale to max level, so I'd refer to them as old endgame content.
A new trial will come with the next dlc which will be added in early 2016.

I bet i'm a better healer than you will ever be, things die so fast its not even necessary to use shards or orbs maybe someone will throw a horn and i will run the prayer but its a no brainier there isn't skill required to stand still and push buttons.

What kind of group do people run with that things die so slowly that you guys need shard/orbs (repentance is only used in trash because most of the bosses have very low amounts of adds) normally things die in less than 3 mins since the fight started :/
Edit: On last boss i do throw shard tough cose last boss has more health.

Does any game involve skill? Kind of like referring to yourselves as BBall players and the like now. Nerds in front of screens we is. Skilled we is not. Anything can be done on a game with enough repetition.

OT end game..... SA trial is OK but group space is scarce these days. Completion of IC dungeons on V16 hard modes and obtaining the pet Hoarvor is one of them. It is the hardest challenge right now. (Master angler isn't hard it's long winded and boring)

VMA is hard for some and easy for some. Depends on the roll of the lag dice and what bug you get chucked at you.

True end game and I hate saying this is.....Emporer / Empress. Obtained by so few and requires the most dedication or bum licking of alliance members around.

If all you're looking for is PvE endgame, then there's not much difference between ESO and other titles heavy driven by RNG gear grinding systems. Now the one thing that really makes ESO unique is the hybrid PvP/PvE endgame of Imperial City and Cyrodiil. It's been the subject of many heated conversations, some like it, others hate it, but however you feel about it, it's something a little bit different and you can start to get a feel for it at level 10 (so you don't necessarily have to wait until "endgame" to endgame in ESO in other words).

If you're into solo play, you might have a harder time with this. Just try to look for other players in your alliance and see if you can tag along. Most will welcome the help as long as you try to do what they do and avoid drawing too much attention to yourself.

Reached endgame long ago. My character beat Molag Bol like a red-headed stepchild, the world of Tamriel was saved, and so went home to down some mead in celebration.
